Mental Health Matters at Don Bosco Youth Welfare Centre, Parra

Teachers and staff took part in a powerful session led by Mr. Cipriano Fernandes, Psychologist and Project Manager at Caritas North Goa.
He spoke about stress, relationships, setting boundaries, and the importance of safe spaces for students.
Suggestions like mentorship programmes, mental health talks, teacher-training for pre-counselling, and posters to reduce the stigma around seeking help were met with great

Highlights from our first PTS meeting for NIOS students at Don Bosco Youth Welfare Centre
(12 July 2025):
We shared key updates on the NIOS curriculum, assessments, and the importance of
counselling and career guidance. Parents were briefed on school rules and signed in
acknowledgment. The session wrapped up with a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
Important notices included the reopening date, school timings, attendance, uniforms, books,
and parking arrangements.
