I opposed the Finance Bill 2026, as it harms India's growth by bringing back retrospective tax changes, which make tax rules uncertain and scare away investors. At the same time, it softens punishment for big companies and rich people who cheat on taxes by reducing jail terms or turning them into just fines, while ordinary citizens and small businesses face harsh action.

Today in Rajya Sabha, I asked the government about how only 0.22% of railway land is still encroached, just 33.67 hectares have been retrieved in the last 5 years. What steps are they taking to clear encroachments in busy urban areas where they affect passenger safety and station redevelopment? Has any performance-based reward system been introduced for zonal railways?

As a representative from Parbhani, I raised the serious issues faced by our farmers. I have lived in Parbhani and seen many institutions there. Yet research and experiments are not reaching our farmers. Monoculture farming is increasing risks, and many farmers are dying by su***de because of it. What concrete steps is the government taking to solve these problems and make agriculture better for the farmers of Marathwada?

In Rajya Sabha today, I argued that the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026 risks grave injustice by undermining self-identity and constitutional protections. Calling health a state subject is technically true for day-to-day implementation, but NHM funding and the 24,266 AYUSH doctor scheme are centrally supported. The Union Ministry oversees monitoring and equity goals. Commending the "initiative" without fixing disparities is not an answer.

If the goal is equitable healthcare, the CAG-highlighted imbalances in UP AYUSH infrastructure needs to be fixed first, Rebranding AYUSH doctors as allopathic stop-gaps due to genuine shortages is okay, but it shouldn't be the permanent solution.
