Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal launched the National Turmeric Board.
Shri P***e Ganga Reddy has been appointed as the first Chairperson of the board.
National Turmeric Board will help boost their incomes and also give impetus to increase production especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where there is a lot of potential.The board also aims to focus on the welfare of turmeric farmers, popularly known as *'Golden* Spice' farmers, while developing superior varieties and promoting exports.
