YOUR THYROID DOESN’T WORK IN ISOLATION. 🦋

A “thyroid yoga” routine that simply stretches the neck misses the bigger picture.

Thyroid function is part of the HPT axis, closely connected with the brain, liver, stress response, and hormonal regulation.

So instead of asking, “Which pose stimulates the thyroid?” ask:

“Which systems influence thyroid function—and how can yoga therapy support the whole network?”

A therapeutic sequence may work across multiple systems:

• Shoulder Stand → cervical compression
• Fish Pose → cervical extension
• Twists → abdominal/visceral stimulation
• Camel → chest & throat opening
• Rabbit → head/neck stimulation
• Child’s Pose → parasympathetic down-regulation

The goal isn’t to “fix your thyroid” with seven poses.

It is to understand the system, apply physiology + Ayurveda, and choose practices intelligently.

That’s the difference between a random yoga sequence and Yoga Therapy.

⚠️ Educational content only. Not a treatment for thyroid disease. For diagnosed conditions, symptoms, or medication use, seek individualized medical care.

Most people learn Kundalini backwards.

They start with chakras, awakening, energy and powerful techniques—before understanding the system behind the practice.

Kundalini Kriya Yoga is not about collecting experiences or techniques. It is about progression: Āsana → Prāṇāyāma → Mudrā → Bandha → Meditation → deeper internal practices.

Preparation matters. Sequence matters. The practitioner matters.

Don’t collect techniques. Understand the system.

The 7 Chakras Are NOT a Checklist. 🌀

If you’ve ever searched for chakras online, you’ve probably seen the familiar image:

🌈 Seven glowing chakras
🐍 A coiled serpent at the base
🌸 A lotus at the crown

But here’s the question:

Are we supposed to “open” each chakra individually?

In the classical Kundalini Yoga approach, the chakras are not isolated switches that we can simply turn on or off.

They are part of a sequence.

Muladhara → Swadhisthana → Manipura → Anahata → Vishuddhi → Ajna → Sahasrara

Each stage has its own role in the progressive process of purification, transformation and awakening.

For example, we may want to work immediately on Anahata—the heart centre—but what happens when the foundations beneath it have not been developed?

This is why Kundalini awakening is traditionally understood as a gradual journey, not simply one dramatic experience where energy suddenly reaches the crown.

The map matters.

But the map is not the journey.

In my latest video, I explain the 7 chakras, their traditional sequence, and why approaching them like a checklist can completely change the way you understand Kundalini Yoga.

If you’ve been exploring Kundalini Yoga, chakras, Kriya Yoga, meditation or spiritual awakening, I think you’ll find this perspective useful.

🙏 Walk the path with patience and perseverance.

Don’t eat the health claim. Look at the whole pattern.

“High protein.”
“High fiber.”
“Natural.”
“Organic.”
“Gluten-free.”
“Ayurvedic.”

These words can sound healthy—but a health claim on the front of a packet doesn’t tell you the whole story.

Turn it around. Read the ingredients. Check the added sugar. Consider how processed it is. Then ask a bigger question:

What does this meal repeatedly do for you?

Ayurveda takes this even further by asking us to consider the person, not just the food—constitution, digestive capacity, timing, quantity, preparation, season and suitability.

No food needs to be labelled “good” or “bad.”
And no traditional system gets a free pass from evidence.

Real nutrition is less about finding the perfect breakfast and more about understanding the pattern you repeat every day.

Because health isn’t created by winning one breakfast.
It’s created by the pattern you repeat.

Follow Vishuddhi for a more thoughtful approach to Ayurveda, nutrition and everyday health.

Same symptom. Different person. Different yoga. 🧘‍♀️
That’s Yoga Therapy.

Two people can have trouble sleeping and need completely different practices — based on stress, routine, pain, digestion and capacity.

Ayurveda adds another lens: constitution + daily rhythm.

Your body may not be as unpredictable as you think.

Sometimes, the confusing part isn’t your body.

It’s the constantly changing instructions you’re giving it.

Different wake times.
Different meal times.
Different sleep times.
Different levels of stimulation and activity.

And then we wonder why energy, hunger, digestion and sleep don’t always feel predictable.

Ayurveda has explored this idea through Dinacharya — the importance of daily rhythm and routine.

Not as a rigid 5 AM lifestyle.

Not as a schedule everyone must follow.

But as a way of learning to notice patterns.

For the next three days, don’t change anything.

Just observe.

When do you wake?
When do you get hungry?
When does your energy shift?
When do you seek stimulation?
When do you actually begin winding down?

Before Ayurveda gives you an answer, it teaches you how to look.

And that’s where the real learning begins.

Follow this series — we’re going to learn how to read your everyday patterns through an Ayurvedic lens.

Olive oil is good. But Ghee is the doorway to actually absorbing nutrition.

Most people don’t absorb fat-soluble vitamins because their digestive fire is weak.

Ghee is a Rasayana—a carrier. It binds to nutrients and carries them into your tissues.

Science calls this “lipophilic transport.”

Ghee contains butyrate—fuel for your colon cells.

Swap olive oil for 1 tbsp ghee tonight. Your gut will thank you.

If you eat a “healthy” meal and suddenly feel bloated and exhausted—that is not the food. That is Ama.

And there is one spice in your kitchen that destroys it in under 5 minutes.

You’ve probably tried probiotics, enzymes, and random detoxes. They might help for a day. But the root of your bloating is actually a weak digestive fire—Agni, according to the classical texts.

When Agni is low, food sits in your gut and ferments into Ama—the sticky, toxic residue. You have been trying to clean the kitchen while the stove is cold.

We fix this by fixing the fire.

Cumin is not just a spice—it is the spark plug of your digestion. When you steep it in hot water, it releases volatile oils that mechanically stimulate your pancreatic enzymes. According to Ayurveda, cumin cleanses the Srotas (your internal channels).

Modern science validates this: cumin seeds contain a compound called cuminaldehyde, which actively suppresses gas and bloating by reducing gastric inflammation.

You don’t need expensive supplements. You need a teaspoon of cumin, warm water, and 5 minutes of patience.

Do this: boil 1 cup of water. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds. Turn off the heat, cover it, and let it steep for 5 minutes. Sip it 15 minutes before your meal.

If your bloating doesn’t drop in 3 days, the link in my bio has the exact 4-week digestive protocol that will fix it.

Why is Kundalini traditionally depicted as coiled 3½ times? 🐍

It’s more than a mystical symbol.

In classical Kundalini and Ta***ic frameworks, the three coils can be understood through the three Gunas — Tamas, Rajas and Sattwa — and the three ordinary states of consciousness: waking, dreaming and deep sleep.

And the half-coil?

It points toward what lies beyond them — transcendence and pure awareness.

So Kundalini awakening isn’t simply about “moving energy upward.”

It is a traditional map of transforming consciousness.

But there’s much more to this symbolism than a single Instagram reel can explain.

Would you like me to decode the other symbols of Kundalini? Comment “KUNDALINI” 👇
