"Together We Clean. Together We Care."

INTERACT CLUB OF SHARADA MANDIR SCHOOL, MIRAMAR
in association with AYYA Foundation, Corporation of the City of Panaji, Rotaract Club of Panaji, Uzwaad and other organisations participated in a Beach Clean-Up Drive at Caranzalem Beach , as part of International Coastal Clean-Up Day 2026.

The initiative brought together young Interactors and community partners with a shared commitment to protecting our coastline and creating awareness about responsible waste management.

The programme began with an impactful skit highlighting the effects of littering, pollution and improper waste disposal, followed by a briefing on waste segregation.

Our enthusiastic Interactors then rolled up their sleeves and took part in the beach clean-up, collecting waste and ensuring that it was subsequently brought together for segregation.

When our school community comes together, every moment becomes a memory!

What a memorable day it was! From the beautiful stage backdrop that set the tone for the celebrations, to the well-organised student performances and the dedicated volunteers ensuring everything ran smoothly across the various venues — their efforts truly made a difference.

The brunch was a highlight! The beautifully arranged counters, scrumptious dishes and delicious cakes lovingly baked by our parents were enjoyed by all. Even the little touches, like the brunch menu at the canteen entrance, reflected the thought and care that went into every detail.

The games brought plenty of fun and laughter, and as we left school, the happy and contented faces said it all!

Coordinating everything across different areas was certainly no small task, but your time, creativity, teamwork and attention to detail brought it all together beautifully.

A wonderful day, made even more special by a wonderful school community.
