Inhouse Workshop on Critical and Creative Thinking
Blue Bird High School organised an enriching workshop for educators, centered around Critical and Creative Thinking, on 16th May, 2026. The workshop aimed to enhance the innovative and analytical capabilities of educators, equipping them with tools to foster these essential skills in their students.
Session emphasised the importance of fostering an environment where students feel free to express their ideas and think beyond the confines.
The workshop featured a series of thought-provoking activities, group discussions, and hands-on exercises designed to immerse facilitators in the principles of creative and critical thinking.

BLUE BIRD HIGH SCHOOL, PANCHKULA ,
HOSTED - POSH ACT, 2013, AWARENESS TALK
FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL
The Internal Complaints Committee of Blue Bird High School (A senior secondary school), Panchkula organized an awareness talk to understand the POSH Act, 2013 for teaching and Non-teaching staff on 16th May 2026 Saturday.
The session was led by Ms Garima Dhussa, an active member of DLSA, Panchkula and a motivational speaker dedicated to Child Welfare, Women Empowerment and overall community upliftment.
Critical aspects of the POSH policy, including its applicability, the procedure for filing complaints, the policy’s objectives, and its essential components in workplace setting were addressed by the resource person.
School Principal Ms Vandna concluded by saying that this workshop was instrumental in providing valuable insights and information, significantly enhancing the participant’s knowledge of fostering a safe and respectful workplace environment.

Poster Making Activity on Vande Mataram
A Poster Making Activity on the theme “Vande Mataram” was conducted for class 10th in the school to promote patriotism, creativity, and awareness about the nation’s rich cultural heritage. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity and showcased their artistic talents through beautiful and meaningful posters.
The activity created a sense of patriotism among students and encouraged them to express their thoughts creatively.

A visit to the school library 'was a joyful and educational activity, conducted for class 1 students .The students visited school library where they immersed themselves in the magical world of books. They explored the different sections of library and spent a quality time reading books of their level. The Teacher guided them to explore picture books, story books, etc. With the help of their class teacher, they learned to handle books properly, the importance of maintaining silence and discipline in library The objective of the activity was to cultivate love for reading , enhance vocabulary and develop imagination among young learners. The smiles on their faces and curiosity for exploring more books in library was the clear reflection of the success of the activity.

Mother’s Day Celebration at Blue Bird High School (A Senior Secondary School) Sector- 16 Panchkula
Our Kindergarten Wing celebrated Mother’s Day with joy, laughter, and lots of fun! Mothers enthusiastically participated in exciting games like Quick Fold, Balloon Blowing, Ramp Walk, and many more. Winners received prizes, while every mother was appreciated for making the event so special.

On 11 May 2026, the Department of Science and Computer at Blue Bird High School, Sector-16 Panchkula celebrated National Technology Day with unmatched enthusiasm and academic spirit!
The highlight of the day was an Inter-House Quiz Competition designed to spark curiosity, foster scientific temperament, and boost technological awareness among students.
Students from Classes VII to IX showcased their sharp observational skills, technical knowledge, and creativity while tackling questions on inventions, digital concepts, and scientific discoveries. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, laughter, and learning!
The event not only encouraged teamwork and innovation but also inspired young minds to explore the fascinating world of science and technology.
Our Principal applauded the efforts of both teachers and students, making this celebration a grand success.

In a bid to equip teachers with thebasics of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Blue Bird High School (A Senior Secondary School) sector-16, Panchkula, organized a one-day workshop. The workshop witnessed the participation of 61 teachers. The workshop familiarised the educators with the key principles and implementation strategies of NEP 2020, aimed at enhancing the Indian education system. The distinguished Resource Persons of the day were, Sagrika Bakshi and Seema Kumari sought active participation of the educators through a series of interactive sessions, presentations and group discussions. The workshop focused on the salient features of NEP 2020, including competency-based learning, integration of vocational education, modern assessment strategies, and the use of AI tools to upgrade classroom teaching. The workshop proved to be a valuable platform for professional growth, equipping teachers with the necessary tools to implement the education policy effectively. The entire workshop was extremely fruitful in highlighting the current concerns in education and making the teachers aware about the initiatives and resources built by CBSE in light of NEP 2020, and was a significant step towards aligning our school community with the new educational reforms and enhancing mental health support systems.
