Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula, hosted its Annual Art and Craft Exhibition, “The Oeuvre 2026,” with theme ‘Save Bio-diversity’ celebrating the artistic talent, creative imagination and innovative spirit of its young learners. The exhibition highlighted how biodiversity supports life on Earth by maintaining ecological balance and providing essential resources such as food, clean air, water and medicines.

The exhibits reflected the students’ creativity, originality, critical thinking, innovation and problem-solving abilities. Each display narrated a unique story, offering glimpses into the imaginative world of budding scientists, mathematicians, writers, poets and artists. The exhibition beautifully demonstrated how art can transform conventional boundaries and become an integral part of experiential and interdisciplinary learning. Students of Class 10th presented Nukkad Natak to convey the message to protect wildlife. This encouraged students and visitors to respect nature and understand the importance of conserving animals and their habitats.
Chief Guest Mr Ravinder Kumar Sharma, Founder Director of Ravinder Sharma Art Academy and retired as Head of the Art History Department, Govt College of Art, Chandigarh, appreciated the remarkable exhibits and commended the students for their originality, perseverance and dedication.
The exhibition received an enthusiastic response from parents, who admired the imaginative and thought-provoking creations of the students. It provided them with an opportunity to appreciate not only their ward’s artistic abilities but also their capacity to think independently, and approach challenges.
Principal Mrs .Vandna Bhatnagar said that the exhibition serves as a dynamic platform where students can express their ideas and learn through collaboration. She also conveyed a strong message that protecting biodiversity today is essential for a healthy and sustainable planet. She applauded the collective efforts of the students, teachers and parents, whose commitment and encouragement made the event a memorable celebration of creativity and learning.

Class III students participated in an exciting "Flower Addition & Subtraction Activity".
As part of the activity, children made beautiful flower-shaped cutouts and solved addition and Subtraction sums written on the petals. The hands-on activity helped students understand the concept of addition and subtraction in a fun and creative
way.
The classroom was filled with colors, creativity, and enthusiasm as every child presented their own unique flower. Such activities make learning more engaging for young minds.

The students of Class 7th A participated in an engaging activity on “Harvest and Weather Festivals of India.” Through colourful posters, drawings and creative presentations, students explored festivals such as Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Baisakhi, Pongal, Onam and Bhogali Bihu.

As part of the activity, students also learned about the different festivals, the states and regions where they are celebrated, and their connection with seasons, agriculture and nature. The activity enhanced their creativity while helping them appreciate India’s rich cultural diversity and traditions.

BLUE BIRD HIGH SCHOOL MARKS INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH ENTHUSIASM AND NATIONAL PRIDE
The echoes of patriotic songs and the fluttering tricolour transformed the campus into a vibrant symbol of unity as the school celebrated Independence Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotism and national pride. The morning assembly commenced with singing of National Song followed by Speech and National Flag hoisting ceremony. Students decorated the whole school with tricolour and took selfie with them.
Different activities designed under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 were organised, to promote awareness and respect for the National Flag.
The Principal of the school, Ms. Vandna Bhatnagar emphasized the students to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and pledge to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism. She also urged that students are the future of the nation and should strive for excellence in academics, character, and service to society.

Class 1 Storytellers took us into the wonderful world of elephants with an engaging Story Dramatization.
LKG Artists added their colourful touch through a delightful Elephant Colouring Activity.
And our adorable Nursery learners took home cute Elephant Masks as a special keepsake!

"नशा मुक्ति प्रतिज्ञा महा अभियान"
ब्लू बर्ड हाई स्कूल, सेक्टर-16, पंचकूला में 11 अगस्त 2026 को ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्वविद्यालय सेक्टर -12 पंचकूला की ओर से "नशा मुक्ति प्रतिज्ञा महा अभियान" का सफल आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में नशे के दुष्प्रभावों के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना तथा उन्हें स्वस्थ, संस्कारवान एवं नशामुक्त जीवन अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित करना था। कार्यक्रम के दौरान ब्रह्माकुमारी कमल दीदी जी ने विद्यार्थियों को नशे से होने वाली शारीरिक, मानसिक, सामाजिक एवं पारिवारिक हानियों के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि युवा पीढ़ी यदि दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ नशे से दूर रहे तो वह स्वयं, अपने परिवार तथा राष्ट्र के उज्ज्वल भविष्य का निर्माण कर सकते है।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में कक्षा 8वीं से 12वीं तक के विद्यार्थियों तथा विद्यालय के शिक्षकों ने नशामुक्त भारत के निर्माण हेतु सामूहिक रूप से नशा न करने और दूसरों को भी इसके लिए प्रेरित करने की प्रतिज्ञा ली। विद्यालय ने इस जागरूकता अभियान की सराहना करते हुए भविष्य में भी ऐसे सामाजिक सुधार से जुड़े कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने का संकल्प व्यक्त किया।
इस अवसर पर विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती वंदना भटनागर ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि जीवन में सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए स्वस्थ शरीर, सकारात्मक सोच और उत्तम संस्कार अत्यंत आवश्यक हैं। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को नशे से दूर रहने तथा समाज में भी नशामुक्ति का संदेश फैलाने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

Class 10th Students undertook a project on “Combating Global Poaching and Wildlife Trafficking” to understand the causes, consequences, and prevention of illegal wildlife trade. Through research, case studies, posters, and presentations, students explored the threats faced by endangered species and the role of governments, communities, and individuals in protecting biodiversity.
The project helped students develop awareness, research skills, critical thinking, and environmental responsibility, encouraging them to become responsible citizens and active participants in wildlife conservation.

The Disaster Management Club of Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula observed Hiroshima day on 6th August, 2026, with a solemn and impactful special assembly to promote peace and global harmony. The event commenced with a respectful two-minute silence to honour the victims of the 1945 atomic bombings. Special quotes were recited by the students of class 7th & 8th highlighting the urgent necessity for the abolition of nuclear weapons and a worldwide dedication to peace.
A documentary based on the story of Sadako Sasaki was shown in the classes. Students across all grades crafted paper cranes as a collective pledge against violence. A discussion on the importance of peace and disarmament was also organized in the classes. It encouraged students to think critically about the consequences of war and the value of peaceful coexistence.
The school principal Ms. Vandna emphasized the role of young people in fostering tolerance, conflict resolution and nuclear disarmament. She praised the efforts of the students that have shown deep empathy and a strong commitment to building a more compassionate world.
