Located in a mango orchid and built around trees that existed, the Mango Grove Preschool has been designed keeping in mind the critical role of the physical environment in the learning process and the development of our children. Our Curriculum
Each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of growth and development at the Mango Grove. The focus of our curriculum is
to build a strong and balanced foundation of emotional, social, cognitive and physical skills in each child. Children learn through active explorations and interaction and select many of their own activities from a variety of learning areas teachers prepare including dramatic play, games and puzzles blocks covering topics such as science, math and history. Our children participate in activities such as story-telling, dramatics, poetry, gardening and farming through which they learn to reason and experiment and to create, express and communicate. Teachers facilitate the development of positive social skills such as cooperating, helping, negotiating, and talking. The Environment
The building is ecologically conscious and requisites minimum use of energy. Classrooms extend and open into outdoor spaces, which give children the option to work amidst nature. The play areas and the landscape are safe and offer physically challenging experiences. It facilitates free play, which must be self-motivating spontaneous and dynamic.
