An awareness session on Sadak Suraksha Niyam (Traffic Rules) was organized for Class VII students at DAV Police Public School Panchkula on 23 May 2026 in collaboration with SIP. The session aimed to educate students about road safety measures, traffic signs, and responsible behaviour on roads.
To further spread awareness among younger students, a colouring competition on traffic rules was conducted for Classes I to VI. The enthusiastic participation of students reflected their keen interest in learning about road safety in a creative manner. The programme was informative, engaging, and successful in promoting awareness about traffic safety among students.

Subject: MATHEMATICS
Activity: 2 digit Addition on abacus
Two-digit addition on the abacus is an interesting and joyful learning activity for Class 2 students. The abacus helps children understand place value by using tens and ones rods. Students learn to represent numbers with beads and add them step by step in a simple manner.
During the activity, children first place the beads for the first number and then add the beads for the second number. They count the total beads to find the answer. This hands-on learning method improves counting skills, concentration, and mental math abilities.
The activity made learning addition easy, enjoyable, and interactive for the students.

D.A.V. Police Public School proudly announced the outstanding performance of its students in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination. The school achievers include Gunjan Saini who secured 90.8%, Harmeet Singh with 86.6%, and Vani Sharma who scored 84.2%. In addition, 8 students scored above 80%, while 10 students secured above 70% marks in the examination. The Principal and staff congratulated the parents and students for their hard work and dedication and wished them success in their future endeavors

The young participants showcased their creativity and imagination by crafting beautiful models with colorful clay. The activity not only enhanced their artistic skills but also encouraged fine motor development and self-expression. The enthusiasm and joy displayed by the tiny tots made the event truly delightful and memorable.

D.A.V. Police Public School, Panchkula organised an Inter-Class Quiz Competition for Classes VI and VII on 11 May 2026 to celebrate National Technology Day. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their knowledge of science, technology, inventions, and recent technological developments. The competition aimed to foster curiosity, scientific awareness, and a spirit of healthy competition among students. The Principal appreciated the participants for their active involvement and applauded the winners for their outstanding performance.

On the occasion of celebrating the literary legacy of Rabindranath Tagore, a Poem Recitation Competition was organized at D.A.V. Police Public School Panchkula for students of Classes VI to VIII. The participants showcased remarkable confidence, expression, and appreciation for Tagore’s timeless poetry.
Divyanshi of Class VIII secured the First Position, while Rishu of Class VIII bagged the Second Position. The Third Position was awarded to Sunidhi of Class VI. The event inspired students to explore the beauty of literature and enhanced their recitation skills with great enthusiasm.

On 9 May 2026, DAV Police Public School organized an insightful workshop for teachers on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act. The session was conducted by Ms. Garima Dhussa, who sensitized the faculty about workplace ethics, gender sensitivity, professional conduct, and the importance of creating a safe and respectful environment for all. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, the workshop enhanced awareness about the rights, responsibilities, and preventive measures under the POSH Act.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Principal Ma’am, who appreciated Ms. Garima Dhussa for her informative and engaging presentation. She also encouraged the staff to uphold the values of dignity, respect, and safety within the school community.
