Chitkara International School, Panchkula Successfully Conducts PTM-1 for its Students of Kindergarten to Grade 10 for the Academic Session 2026–27

Reinforcing the spirit of collaboration between parents and educators, Chitkara International School, Panchkula successfully conducted the first Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM-1) for the academic session 2026–27 for its students from Kindergarten to Grade 10. The meeting served as an enriching platform for meaningful interaction, enabling parents and teachers to discuss students’ academic progress, behavioural development, and holistic growth in a constructive and supportive environment. Beginning with Kindergarten, parents of Chicklets, Nestlings, Fledglings, and Cygnets were oriented about Summer Home Learning, the CBSE Reading App, Academic Readiness Checklists, revision strategies, and the importance of establishing structured home routines. Squad allotments were also discussed for Cygnets. For Grades 1 and 2, discussions centred around Summer Home Learning, Knowledge Polish orientation, discipline tracking, AI Portfolio integration, Co-Curriculars' Curriculum, and the framing of effective home timetables. In Grades 3 to 5, detailed discussions regarding Unit Test-1 performance were conducted along with guidance related to Summer Home Learning, discipline tracking, AI Portfolio, Co-Curriculars' Curriculum, and other important administrative updates including admission documents and medical records. For Grades 6 to 8, teachers reviewed Unit Test-1 outcomes while also discussing Summer Home Learning plans, home timetable structuring, discipline tracking, AI Portfolio integration, Co-Curriculars' Curriculum, and essential documentation updates. Moving further, Grades 9 and 10 focused on discussions regarding Periodic Test-1 performance, Summer Home Learning, portfolio development, discipline tracking, and structured home schedules, enabling parents to gain valuable insights into their child’s academic trajectory and overall preparedness. The parents also visited a vibrant art-exhibition organised within the school premises, where they admired the creative artwork of the students. The PTM witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents and educators alike, reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment towards nurturing strong home-school partnerships. Through personalised guidance, collaborative discussions, and focused academic planning, Chitkara International School continues to empower students to excel not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

Chitkara International School, Panchkula’s dynamic Office of Library Affairs conducted an engaging and enlightening session on “How to Use Dictionaries” for its enthusiastic learners of Grade 1 Omega. Recognising that vocabulary plays a crucial role in expressing thoughts clearly and communicating effectively, the session aimed to build foundational language skills at an early age. To strengthen their vocabulary, students were encouraged to read regularly, engage in word-based activities, and develop the habit of learning new words each day. The session began with an interactive PowerPoint presentation conducted in the classrooms, where students were introduced to the purpose and importance of dictionaries. They learned how to locate words alphabetically and understand their meanings, pronunciation, and usage. A special segment of the presentation focused on the different components of a dictionary entry, helping students grasp how words are explained in detail. To further enrich their learning experience, students visited the school library, where they explored a variety of dictionaries, including subject-specific and bilingual editions. This hands-on exposure deepened their understanding and sparked curiosity about language learning. Additionally, they were encouraged to read books and magazines regularly to enhance their vocabulary and develop a love for reading.
