NIFT Panchkula proudly organized the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ on 13th August 2024 as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign! Led by our esteemed Director, Prof. (Dr.) Amandeep Singh Grover, the Yatra was a vibrant display of patriotism, unity, and national pride.
We also held a plantation drive, stepping towards a greener future and showing our commitment to saving the environment. Our students and faculty members came together, not just to celebrate freedom, but to contribute to the health of our planet.
Let's continue upholding freedom's values and contribute to the nation's progress! Jai Hind!

NIFT Panchkula commemorated the 10th National Handloom Day with a vibrant event titled "Tana Bana" on its campus. The celebration aimed to honor India's rich handloom heritage and highlight the contributions and challenges the artisans face behind this traditional craft. The event was graced by Chief Guest Sh. Sachin Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and Municipal Commissioner of Panchkula, Haryana. Prof. (Dr.) Amandeep Singh Grover, Director of NIFT Panchkula, addressed the gathering, expressing his deep concern for the artisans' plight and emphasizing the need for their upliftment. A key event highlight was a spectacular fashion show featuring students of NIFT Panchkula. They showcased a diverse array of handloom garments, representing the various shades and textures from different regions of India. The event was organised by Dr. Nikita- SDAC, Ms. Saumya Dr. Anita Chahal head of the Cultural Club, and Dr. Shikha Sharma – Media Coordinator. Dr. Shruti Gupta- CIC Nift Panchkula gave the thanks vote.

NIFT Panchkula organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with PGI Hospital Chandigarh on the new batch's third day of orientation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from new students faculty and administrative staff. Special thanks to Dr. Suchet Sachdev of PGI for this initiative. Prof. Dr. Amandeep Singh Grover, Director of NIFT Panchkula, was present to boost the morale of the participants and encourage them in their noble endeavors. The event was well organized by Dr. Nikita, SDAC, and her team members.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Panchkula hosted its 3-day Orientation on the 31st July - 2nd August 2024. The day began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and the Saraswati Vandana, bringing a refreshing start to a significant day. This was followed by the Director, Prof. (Dr.) Amandeep Grover, addressing the newly admitted creative youth and extending them a warm welcome to the NIFT family. The chief guest for the day, Mr. Arun Grover, CMD at Amartex Industries Ltd., then addressed the students. Congratulating the students on reaching a place such as NIFT, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of this highly reputed institution.

We are thrilled to announce that NIFT recently hosted its inaugural Alumni and Industry Advisory Board meeting, marking a significant milestone in strengthening our ties with the industry and alumni network. Esteemed industry leaders such as Mr. Rajesh Mehra, Director of Active Clothing Co. Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Gian Singh, Managing Director of Mi Arcus Retail Pvt. Ltd., attended the event at NIFT Panchkula.
Our distinguished alumni participants included Mr. Amulpreet Singh Bajwa, Operations Head at Daijo Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Harpreet Padam, Partner at Unlike Design Co. and Owner of TOWITHFROM; and Ms. Shipra Gulati, E-Commerce Entrepreneur of Agulka Jewels. Representing NIFT were Prof. (Dr.) Amandeep Singh Grover, Campus Director; Dr. Shipra Sharma, Campus Academic Coordinator; Prof. (Dr.) Rakhi Wahee Pratap from the Department of Textile Design; Mr. Pramod Kumar from the Department of Fashion Design; and Ms. Bharti Pahuja, Regional Industry Coordinator.
Prof. (Dr.) Amandeep Singh Grover, Director, NIFT Panchkula appreciated this initiative and thanked all the NAIAB members for their valuable time and input to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia and insisted that such types of interactions may take place at regular intervals.
The meeting aimed to bridge the gap between industry expectations and academic output, explore new collaborations, and strengthen alumni relationships.
