The enthusiastic students of Class XI from New Era’s set out early in the morning for their much-awaited six-day camp—a time to bond with friends and teachers in a joyful yet meaningful setting. The day began with uplifting morning prayers, followed by a lively bus journey filled with songs, laughter, and cheerful conversations. A stop for a delicious breakfast added to the excitement, setting a bright tone for the days ahead.
One of the day’s most memorable moments was the visit to the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, an impressive venue that can accommodate 42,000 spectators. The students were thrilled to see the Maharashtra Women’s Cricket Team in action, showcasing their batting, bowling, and fielding skills. Their energy and sportsmanship inspired enthusiastic applause from everyone present.
The group then headed to Monteria Village—an innovative space designed to bring the essence of rural life alive. Here, the students enjoyed a variety of engaging experiences, from exploring a carpenter’s workshop and cycle repair shop to watching puppet and magic shows. They also had fun on tractor and bullock-cart rides, visited a cow shed and a biogas plant, and played traditional village games. This immersive experience offered them a beautiful glimpse into India’s village culture and made for a refreshing and memorable start to their camp.
While studying Lesson 1, The Desire to Serve’, from the book – To Describe the World, Unit 1, the youth learnt a very important lessons about serving others such as Humility and Faith. MAlso, the youth understood that they needed a strong will as they might face many difficulties in the path of service. The discussions were on virtues such as love, faith in God, kindness, respect and patience which inspired them to live a righteous life of service.
