“Joy gives us wings! In times of joy our strength is more vital, our intellect keener, and our understanding less clouded.” — Abdu'l‑Baha
The animators of Class XI had two preparatory sessions on the book, ‘Wellspring of Joy’ from the 24th to the 26th of February, 2026. During these sessions Mr. Gourav helped them to study the lessons in depth, reflect on the underlying spiritual concepts, and understand the broader purpose of the text. He emphasized the importance of presenting the themes thoughtfully so that the junior youth could meaningfully engage with ideas such as inner nobility, integrity, resilience, and living a purposeful life. His mentorship strengthened the animators’ comprehension of the material and equipped them to facilitate the camp with clarity and a deep sense of responsibility towards nurturing thoughtful and spiritually aware young minds.
Following the preparations, the camp of Class VII was successfully conducted from the 24th to the 26th of February, 2026 at Rosewood. The camp was lovingly planned and facilitated by the Class XI animators, who guided the junior youth through meaningful sessions based on the book ,’ Wellspring of Joy’.
The sessions were conducted in alignment with the themes of Wellspring of Joy, which encourages junior youth to recognize their inner nobility, develop spiritual perception, and understand that true joy arises from living a purposeful and virtuous life. The lessons helped the students to reflect deeply on important themes, many of which they will need to consider as they think about what it truly means to live an integrated and fruitful life. Through discussion, consultation and activities, they explored how thoughts, words, and actions must align in order to build a life of integrity and service.
Throughout the camp, the students examined concepts such as the power of thought, the importance of purity of heart, overcoming negative influences, and contributing positively to society. The animators ensured that every child participated actively and felt heard, creating a space of trust and openness.
On the final day, a special reflection session was held wherein each group presented its learning’s from the camp. One of the highlights was a beautifully designed long chart prepared by the junior youth. The chart symbolically depicted an ocean scene inspired by the idea that “the troubles of the world will only touch the surface of his or her life; like an ocean, the depth will be calm.”
The artwork included:
● Sun rays, as the students wrote their positive qualities and strengths.
● Waves, mentioning negative influences and challenges.
● Seaweeds and ocean depth, symbolizing resilience and inner calm.
This creative expression reflected the spirit of ‘Wellspring of Joy’, emphasizing that while life may bring difficulties on the surface, a spiritually grounded heart remains steady and peaceful at its core.
Ms. Suniti conducted a meaningful session, discussing the key concepts from each lesson and helping the junior youth to connect them to real-life situations.
A joyful dance session was conducted by Mr. Gopal based on the theme “Joy gives us wings to fly.” Through movement and music, the junior youth expressed unity, happiness, and enthusiasm, the values strongly encouraged in the book.
Mr. Uttam led a session during which the junior youth learned prayers and quotations, strengthening their spiritual understanding and helping them to internalize the messages of the lessons.
On the third day, a plantation activity was organized on campus during which the junior youth planted fenugreek and mint seeds, inspired by the quotation:
“Sow the seed of My Divine Wisdom in the pure soil of thy heart, and water them with the water of certitude, that the hyacinths of My knowledge and wisdom may spring up fresh and green in the sacred city of thy heart.”
This activity beautifully symbolized nurturing virtues within oneself. Just as seeds require care and patience to grow, so too must wisdom and good qualities be cultivated within the heart.

During the Intercalary Days, from the 27th of February to the 1st of March 2026, the students of Class IX participated in a moral camp based on the book, ‘Rays of Light’. Held at Rosewood from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., the camp aimed to encourage students to reflect on spiritual principles such as truthfulness, justice, unity, equality, service to humanity and the importance of education. Through group study, consultation, creative activities and acts of service, the students explored the ways in which these principles can guide their thoughts and actions in daily life.
The camp was supported by a team of Class XI student animators such as Aarya Ghag, Hiti Patel, Dhruvi Wadkar, Kashvi Yadav, Dhruv Chnade, Megh Patel, Shlok Patel, Chaitanya Batra and Tanish Agrawal whose enthusiasm and sense of responsibility helped to create a warm learning environment for the younger students.
Priorly, a preparation session was conducted on the 26th of February, 2026 by Ms. Suniti for the staff members and animators assisting with the camp. During this meeting, the participants reviewed the lessons from ‘Rays of Light’, discussed the objectives of the camp and went over the logistical arrangements necessary for its smooth functioning.

The camp progressed through a timetable that combined study sessions, reflection periods, breaks, and creative activities. On the 27th of February, the first day of the camp focused on lessons related to the virtues exemplified in the life of Abdu'l-Baha, the principle of the Independent Investigation of Truth and the Harmony of Science and Religion. Through stories drawn from the life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, the students reflected on qualities such as kindness, patience, generosity, purity of heart, and service to others. These narratives helped them to understand that spiritual virtues can be expressed through everyday actions and relationships.
The discussion on the Independent Investigation of Truth encouraged the students to think critically and to develop the courage to seek truth for themselves rather than simply accepting ideas based on tradition or popular opinion. They reflected on the responsibility of every individual to search sincerely for truth with humility and an openness of mind. The lesson on the Harmony of Science and Religion further emphasized that the advancement of civilization depends upon the balanced development of both scientific knowledge and spiritual insight. The students explored the ideas through which these two systems of knowledge would complement one another and contribute to the well-being of society. The day concluded with group reflections in which they shared their learning and insights.
On the 28th of February, the second day of the camp focused on the principles of the Elimination of Prejudice, the Equality of Men and Women, and the Establishment of Justice. Through consultation and discussion, the students examined how prejudices based on race, religion, nationality, or social background create divisions within society. They reflected on the Bahá’í teaching that humanity is one family and that overcoming prejudice requires conscious effort, humility, and spiritual awareness.
The lesson on the Equality of Men and Women highlighted the idea that the progress and prosperity of society depend upon the full participation of both women and men in all areas of life. It was discussed that equality must be reflected not only in ideals but also in attitudes, opportunities, and social structures. The session on justice encouraged them to think about fairness, responsibility and compassion both in their personal conduct and within wider social systems. They explored that justice requires not only fair laws but also hearts guided by spiritual principles. As on the previous day, the sessions concluded with group reflections and presentations.
On the 1st of March, the final day of the camp centered on the principles of the Oneness of Humanity and Universal Education, the central teachings of the Bahá’í Faith. It was reflected that despite humanity’s diversity of cultures, languages and traditions, all people belong to one global family. Through consultation and dialogue, they explored that unity, cooperation and mutual respect are essential for the advancement of civilization and that the young people can contribute to strengthening unity within their own communities.
The lesson on Universal Education emphasized that education is a fundamental right of every human being and a powerful means for eliminating ignorance and promoting social progress. It was discussed that true education involves not only intellectual development but also the cultivation of moral and spiritual qualities such as truthfulness, justice, love, and service to humanity. The study sessions concluded with group reflections. Adding a joyful element to the day, the students also performed dances that they had learned under the guidance of Mr. Gopal.
Service formed an important component of the camp, allowing to translate spiritual principles into meaningful action. On the 27th of February, approximately 56 students visited the Wai Ghat fishermen community, where they interacted with local children and served them vegetarian biryani. Similarly, on the 1st of March, 45 students visited the Aapulki Centre in Pachwad, an institution serving children with special needs. Another service activity on the 1st of March involved the students interacting with dorm support staff and members of the support staff within the school at BHEL to strengthen appreciation, interaction, and the spirit of service. Several creative and interactive experiences enriched the camp through chart-making sessions, visually expressing the spiritual principles studied in Rays of Light. A dance workshop also provided opportunities for teamwork, creativity, and joyful participation. These activities helped the students to reflect on the ideas that they had explored while expressing themselves through art and movement, making the learning experience memorable.
Hence, the Moral Camp during the Intercalary Days offered the students a meaningful opportunity to enhance their understanding of spiritual values while experiencing the joy of service and collaboration.

“The mind is the power of the human spirit. Through it man acquires knowledge, discovers realities and penetrates the mysteries of creation.”

What begins as a simple thought can transform into a lifelong habit and with this powerful idea, the Class VI Camp was held in the serene hills of Mahabaleshwar. based on the book, ‘Habits of an Orderly Mind’, on the 24th of February 2026 at King Garden, on the 26th of February 2026 and on the 2nd March 2026 at Nirvana Agro Resort. Over the course of these enriching days, the students were immersed in meaningful learning experiences designed to their character and conduct along with their thinking patterns. The peaceful natural surroundings beautifully reflected the central message of the camp that order brings clarity, strength, and harmony.
The camp commenced with discussions on the importance of cultivating an orderly mind in daily life. The junior youth reflected on how systematic thinking strengthens responsibilities and relationships. Through interactive dialogue and relatable examples, they understood that an orderly mind supports attentiveness, dependability, and organization. The Badge Making activity titled “Qualities of My Friend” provided a beautiful opportunity for the junior youth to observe and appreciate the virtues of their peers, thereby strengthening bonds of friendship.

Logical and systematic thinking was reinforced through the Caesar Cipher activity, wherein the students created and decoded secret messages based on spiritual qualities. This activity stimulated analytical reasoning, teamwork, and collaborative problem-solving. Sequencing exercises, including arranging scrambled sentences of prayers, highlighted the importance of step-by-step reasoning and clear communication. These thoughtfully designed tasks helped the students to experience how clarity in thinking naturally leads to clarity in expression.
The theme of planning and prioritizing was explored through practical, everyday situations, guiding them to recognize the importance of performing tasks thoughtfully and in the proper order. The concept of order was further brought to life through patterns and symmetry observed in nature and design. Activities such as tangram creations, symmetry painting, thread art, popsicle stick patterns, and origami snowflakes allowed the students to creatively explore balance and structure. These hands-on experiences enhanced spatial awareness, patience, precision and teamwork while encouraging artistic expression.
A significant focus of the camp was on developing the power of concentration. Through meaningful illustrations and reflective discussions, the students discovered how focused thinking enhances understanding and effectiveness. They were encouraged to practise mindful attention and responsible use of their time and energy. The quotation recitation activity further strengthened confidence and presentation skills, allowing the students to internalize values and express them with clarity.
Empathy and service formed an essential dimension of the camp experience. The visit to the animal shelter offered a practical opportunity to demonstrate compassion and responsibility. The students learned the importance of thoughtful planning and cooperation while caring for living beings. This service experience left a deep and lasting impression on their minds.

The camp concluded with heartfelt reflection, as the students confidently shared their insights and personal growth. Their responses reflected maturity, clarity, and a genuine understanding of the values explored throughout the camp. The event was conducted smoothly with excellent coordination and teamwork among the teachers, ensuring efficient management of materials, activities, documentation, safety, communication, and service initiatives. Thus, it inspired the junior youth to think clearly, act responsibly, appreciate order in the world around them, and extend empathy toward others.
