Centro de Língua Portuguesa-Camões, Goa An Introduction The Instituto Camões (IC) is the Portuguese implementing agency for external cultural policy. by Prof.

It operates under the responsibility of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs but has administrative autonomy. Its purpose is to promote Portuguese culture and language abroad. Its mission is to promote the teaching and the dissemination of Portuguese Language and Culture, as also is its intention to support projects which intend to acquire knowledge of the Culture that express themselves in Portugu

ese Language, through programs linked with institutions of higher education. The Centro de Língua Portuguesa-Camões in Panjim is a polyvalent space, which offers the teachers and students of Goa University and other interested parties, means which permits the deepening of their linguistic and cultural knowledge. The Centro functions as the center of resources and logistics for the development of academic projects in the field of Portuguese Language, History, Literature and Culture of the Lusophones countries. The new premises of Centro de Língua Portuguesa-Camões of Goa (CLP-Camões) were inaugurated on Tuesday, December 6th at 5.30 p.m. P.S.Zacharias, Vice-Chanceler of Goa University, and by the Consul General of Portugal, Dr. Pedro Cabral Adão. The local delegation of Camões promotes exhibitions, film festivals, conferences, seminars and other activities within the scope of the intercultural dialogue between Portugal and Índia. Its cultural activities are aimed to the diffusion of the Portuguese culture and the Portuguese Speaking Countries different social and culture aspects. The CLP-Camões equally aims to support and participate actively in tasks and projects in the scope of the teaching of Portuguese Language and the formation of teachers of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. Accordingly, CLP-Camões is already collaborating with the Department of Portuguese, Goa University and CLCP of Chowgule College, Margão. The premises of Camões can be visited at Agva House, 9/32, Dr. Dada Vaidya Road, in Panaji every working day, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Este dia é simbólico e muito importante para todos aqueles que prezam a liberdade de expressão e intelectual!

Antecedentes: Na sequência do golpe militar de 28 de Maio de 1926, foi implementado em Portugal um regime autoritário de inspiração fascista.
Com a Constituição de 1933 o regime é remodelado, auto-denominando-se Estado Novo e Oliveira Salazar passou a controlar o país, não mais abandonando o poder até 1968, quando este lhe foi retirado por incapacidade, na sequência de uma queda em que sofreu lesões cerebrais.

Foi substituído por Marcelo Caetano que dirigiu o país até ser deposto no 25 de Abril de 1974.

Do cais só resta
o último
perfume
do vento e da canela.

Já brocados

A cruz grita
