Anand Ashram proudly celebrated the sacred festival of Rath Yatra with great devotion and enthusiasm. All the residents participated wholeheartedly as the holy chariot of Lord Jagannath embarked on its traditional journey from the Ashram to Mausi Bari in Jamdoba village.

The celebration brought together devotees and villagers in a vibrant expression of faith and unity. The atmosphere was filled with prayers, devotion, and joyous celebrations, making the occasion truly memorable.

May the blessings of Lord Jagannath inspire peace, compassion, and well-being in every heart.

Awareness on autism rises, but mainstreaming and sensitivity still remain absent

A news article by "The Telegraph"

"The challenge is not always with the teacher or their intent, but in the lack of institutional support, said Arunasis Adhikari, a trustee for a residential facility of individuals with autism in West Burdwan.

There are teachers in mainstream schools who are overworked and under stress. It is a challenge for them to show sensitivity, said Adhikari, who also runs a special school in the city."

Familiarity with the term autism alone is insufficient; teachers must be trained to support children with autism rather than passing responsibility to the special educator. Additionally, people should be more sensitive, they said on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day on Thursday
