Young Minds, Big Ideas: STARS Symposium Returns for Its Third Edition
The Priyashi Viral Kothari Institute of English concluded its third annual conference, STARS (Student Thoughts and Research Symposium), on 5 May 2026. Established in 2024, STARS is a one-of-a-kind platform in India, providing a unique space for researchers aged 10 to 17 to emerge as global thought leaders.
Opening with Chairperson Ms Manjula Sachin and Keynote Speaker Dr Arpana Tripathi, the event focused on "Understanding Student Misbehaviour". Presenters Bhavya Makwana, Heeya Vakil, Smit Tarak, Kavya Agarwal, Aiza Shahu, Sarthak Soni, and Vyom Korot examined how psychological and environmental triggers drive classroom conduct. They concluded that misbehaviour is often a symptom of underlying stressors rather than simple defiance, emphasising that managing it requires a collaborative effort between schools and families. The session culminated in a panel discussion advocating for empathy-led interventions.
The presented papers are published in the official journal of STARS, which was released on 14th August 2026. It is also available on Zenodo. https://zenodo.org/records/21235877 for libraries worldwide.
