National Deworming Day 2023 is celebrated by students of Msc Nursing 1st year and Msc Nursing 2nd year under the supervision of Mrs Anu Varma (Lecturer) and Mrs Arpana Sharma (Lecture). Health education programs have been organised in various settings i.e. Civil hospital Palampur, Community area Panchrukhi and DPS School Palampur. This day is observed on 10 February to raise awareness about the importance of deworming, mainly for children from 1 to 19 years of age. The purpose behind celebrating the day is to reduce the prevalence of Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH), commonly known as parasitic intestinal worms, among all children and adolescents.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose 126th birthday is celebrated at Netaji Subhash College of Nursing Palampur on 23rd January 2023.
Bose was one of the prominent heroes of Inda's independence struggle. Referred as Netaji, he fought for independence throughout his life, within the country and from abroad.
Owing to the legendary freedom fighter’s extraordinary contribution to the Indian freedom struggle, the government designated Netaji’s birthday as Parakram Diwas in 2021.
