Although it should be a fun experience for the child, often many skills can be learned through play. Play helps children learn relationship and social skills, and develop values and ethics, Play should always be considered an essential part of a child’s early education.
Children are playful by nature. Their earliest experiences exploring with their senses lead them to play, first by themselves and eventually with others.

A child's ability to read and write begins to develop long before entering Kindergarten. Infancy through age eight is the most important time in a child's early literacy development as they learn and develop the skills needed to be successful in school and later in life.
