The Hema-Imager is a heat mapping device that uses a PIC24FJ microcontroller, an MCP73871 pass-through battery charger and an RN171 Wi-Fi® module. It pairs with the camera from a smartphone or tablet to generate thermal images in real-time and to expose unexpectedly high or low temperatures. This allows homeowners, tradesmen, home inspectors, electrical service engineers and facilities managers to predict problem areas in equipment, homes, offices and other buildings.
