PS Tokchi,November 25:A meeting was held at Government Primary School Tokchi among school staff,SMC members,parents and the local community.The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the enrolment of students in the academic session 2025.
The meeting was deemed to be successful and the locals have decided to continue the schooling of the existing students in the same school and also enrol more students in the coming years. “The school being the only identity and landmark of the village shall be preserved”,is what the villagers and the SMC has a call for.
New SMC has been formed with most of the members being the parents of the students.The role and responsibilities of SMC was also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the land donor of the school,Shri Phinjo Sherpa.

The day started with registration of school on Vidyanjali Portal and sharing of knowledge with the volunteers.
Further,the school,parents and SMCs sat together for the “Tithi Bhojan”

Day 6:Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE Day

Plantation Drive was observed as a part of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE Day by PS Tokchi.
The Eco Club for Mission LiFE Day at Tokchi PS is headed by Mr Phuchung Namgyal Sherpa.

Day 5:Skilling and Digital Day

Day 5 of Siksha Saptah was observed as Skilling and Digital Day.
Students learned various paper craft making to enhance their skills.They also learnt some basics about computer and other digital devices,their positive and negative aspects on us.

The Day 4 of Siksha Saptah was scheduled for the Cultural Day.Tokchi PS saw the involvement of SMCs and parents in their children’s activities.

Day 3:SPORTS DAY

On the 3rd Day of the Shiksha Saptah,PS Tokchi engaged themselves in remembering and sharing the Indigenous Games of India.
Students were in awe to learn about the richness of our culture and games and enjoyed them to the fullest.
The major games taught were:

“Shiksha Saptah”:Day 2-FLN(Foundational Literacy and Numeracy )Day

Day 2 of Shiksha Saptah observation at Tokchi PS saw the total participation of students,school staff,SMCs and the parents.
The activities included:
1.Awareness on FLN
2.FLN Activities through games and stories with the equal participation of parents.

“Shiksha Saptah”:Day 1-TLM(Teaching Learning Material ) Day

Shiksha Saptah observation at Tokchi PS started with a very positive response from students and parents.
The TLM day marked a turn out of most parents and SMC members wherein the Headmaster and Teachers briefed the gathering regarding the use of TLMs in the classroom,their purpose and their role in fostering the better understanding of the curriculum.
Further,story telling session engaged the crowd with folk tales with good morals and the stories of the locality.
The parents and students further engaged themselves in various activities and also show cased their talents through collaborative works.

Government Primary School Tokchi observed World Environment Day 2024 with the following activities :

1. Sensitisation Programme for students and staff regarding the importance of World Environment Day and it’s theme “Land Restoration,Desertification and Drought Resilience “.
2. Cleanliness Drive in and around Tokchi Gumpa(Monastery) and the road in between the school and Gumpa.
3. Plantation Drive in the school compound.
