Report on School Visit

School: Government Senior Secondary School, Assam Lingzey
A school visit was conducted on 15th July 2026 at Government Senior Secondary School, Assam Lingzey by Mr. Bed Prasad Sharma, Special Educator, Government Senior Secondary School, Namcheybong, under Namcheybong Block.
During the visit, the half-year progress of two Children with Special Needs (CwSN) studying in Class X and Class II was reviewed. Their performance was assessed across various domains of learning, including academic achievement, communication, social interaction, cognitive development, behaviour, and functional skills. Discussions were held with the concerned teachers regarding the students' progress and the need for continued individualized support to enhance their learning outcomes.
Classroom observations were also conducted to assess student engagement and participation during the teaching-learning process. The students were found to be actively involved in classroom activities with appropriate guidance from their teachers.
An orientation session on the PRASHAST Application was conducted for the teaching staff. The importance of PRASHAST in the early identification, screening, documentation, and monitoring of Children with Special Needs was explained. Teachers were encouraged to use the application effectively to facilitate timely interventions and improve the educational achievements and overall development of every learner.
