In a heartfelt initiative to promote environmental awareness and combat climate change, Government Middle School, Mowrah Zone, Srigufwara, successfully conducted a plantation drive on the school premises and surrounding community areas.

The event was inaugurated by the school’s Headmaster/Principal, who emphasized the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and urged students to become active caretakers of nature. Teachers and students participated with great enthusiasm, planting a variety of native saplings including fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees.

Over 200 saplings were planted, each student taking a pledge to nurture and protect their plant. The drive also included an interactive session on the benefits of afforestation, proper planting techniques, and the role of trees in reducing pollution.
This plantation drive not only beautified the school campus but also instilled a lasting sense of environmental responsibility among young learners.
