The move by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) to issue provisional certificates through a digital system has found immense support from the student community.

Students of the outgoing 2017-21 batch have begun to receive digitally signed certificates from KTU’s student portal from Monday. Around a thousand students requested for the certificates within minutes after the service went live. This is for the first time in Kerala that certificates were made available to students through a digital system. Grade cards for different semesters are available on the portal. The system allows students to download certificates with the examination controller’s digital signature. Under the new system, students will be able to review the information on their certificates and report errors. Vice Chancellor M.S. Rajasree said the facility would enable the university to complete the issuance of certificates in a timely and transparent manner.

📌 Exams to continue as scheduled

As per directions of the Division Bench of the Hon’ble High Court Order on 28.07.2021, the University has been permitted to proceed with the conduct of all Examinations as already scheduled

The directions issued by the Single Judge in WP(C) 13509/2021 on 27.07.2021 regarding the
conduct of Examinations by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has been stayed by
the Division Bench of the Hon’ble High Court on Appeal filed by the University. As per directions
of the Division Bench of the Hon’ble High Court Order on 28.07.2021, the University has been
permitted to proceed with the conduct of all Examinations as already scheduled. Hence all
examinations scheduled by the University from 29.07.2021 will be conducted as per timetable.
The revised date of the examinations scheduled on 28.07.2021 will be intimated shortly.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Syndicate Standing Committee on Examinations as cited above, permission has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor to
conduct the odd semester pending examinations in the conventional offline mode (penand paper) as per the schedule given below, abiding strictly to the COVID-19
protocols:

About final semester exam date.

It has been decided to conduct all final semester examinations of all programmes in
online mode from 22.06.2021 onwards including B.Tech (Honours) examinations of S7
and S8 for the 2017-18 admission batch due to the persisting special situations due to
the propagation of the second wave of Covid-19. Detailed guidelines of all these
examinations will be published soon.

NEW UPDATE

APJAKTU- Covid-19 related situation - Suspension of Academic Activities

As an intense second COVID-19 wave grips the State and is propagating faster, thecombined meeting of the Syndicate Standing Committees on Academics & Research and Examinations held on 12.05.2021 recommended to suspend all academic activities includingthe conduct of online classes for a while.Considering the recommendation of the combined Standing Committees and representationsfrom student organizations, hon’ble Vice Chancellor has accorded sanction to cancel allacademic activities under the University including the conduct of online classes from13.05.2021 to 19.05.2021.All academic sessions will be resumed from 20.05.2021 as scheduled.

Commencement of Even Semesters(S2&S4) Class

Classes of all S2 and S4 UG and PG programmes including MBA(T6) shall
commence on 26.04.2021 in online mode. The ongoing classes of highersemesters will continue as per the schedule already published.
