Virtual Field Trip - The Students visited the 'Great Monarchy Migration' virtually , witnessing more than millions of butterflies from all over North America move down to a small forest in Mexico 🦋

The students found the pattern of the Monarch migration, each fall North American monarchs travel from their summer breeding grounds to overwintering locations.

East of the Rocky Mountains, monarchs travel up to an astonishing 3,000 miles to central Mexico, whereas the shorter western migration is to the California coast.

Students of grade 3 'visited' the Melbourne Zoo for a virtual tour related to the concept- Vertebrates. They were introduced to numerous vertebrates. The students also viewed several vertebrates using the live cam option of the Monterey Bay and the San Diego Zoo.

VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP TO HILLS AND VALLEYS

Field trips out of question? Think again . Thanks to technology. Due to these advancements the students of Grade 4 visited Chocolate Hills in Philippines,Mt Everest in India,Iao Valley in Hawaii,Great Plains in North America from the comfort of their home! The children witnessed the different types of ways by which the landforms change. They came to the conclusion that changing landforms can occur through natural process but never through a human intervention.

This time next week we will be at the end of our first ever Globeducate Reads event. Our school communities, all ages, will be passing the baton to each other and reading for an hour, all
together in each school.

The aim? Together, we will share one hour of dedicated reading and raise awareness of promoting students love of reading, improvement of reading skills and promoting levels of comprehension/subject reading.

What might it look like?

✅ Reading in pyjamas?
✅ Dressing up to read in our favourite book character while we read?
✅ Reading games: Mystery Reader, Guess who read this book?
✅ Older students / siblings reading with younger ones?
✅ Blind date with a book?
✅ Book café or coffee circle?
✅ Cosy corner reading?

Schools are signing up to time slots and will tag the next school at the start of their reading hour.

WINNERS OF TIPS INDIA-GLOBEDUCATE INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL ARTS FESTIVAL 🎉👏

Students from 35 Globeducate schools participated in the Virtual Arts Festival using the theme of “Changes” to creatively interpret the concept through painting, sculpture, poetry, drawing, photography and creative writing.

Happy to have 2 winners from TIPS India showcasing their talent🌠

This year, the overall winners were

1. Lower Primary: Painting (Nobel International School Algarve – Almancil, Portugal) and Sculpture and 3D Art (Coruña British School, Spain).

2. Upper Primary: Poetry (Nobel International School Algarve – Almancil, Portugal) and Drawing (TIPS Tirupur, India) ✅

3. Middle School: Sculpture and 3D Art (Stonar School, UK) and Painting (TIPS Chennai, India) ✅

4. Upper/High School: Photography (Agora International School Madrid) and Creative Writing (Blyth Ontario, Canada)

VIRTUAL TOUR OF NASA SPACE STATION

The little astronauts of Grade 2 zoomed in on a virtual tour of the NASA-space station. Their curious eyes got a glimpse of how astronauts live in a spacecraft. Access Mars was yet another virtual experience to gain insight about the Curiosity rover and its mission on Mars. This virtual tour kindled their interest to explore more about Space.
