BACK 2 ROOTS 2026 | WHERE MEMORIES COME HOME

Some places never stop feeling like home.

On 21–22 August, Good Shepherd International School welcomed Old Shepherdians back to the place where countless memories, friendships, and dreams began.

From walking down memory lane at Fernhill to returning to Palada, the Back 2 Roots 2026 gathering was a celebration of the enduring bond between our alumni and their alma mater.

The weekend brought together generations of the GSIS community through a special school assembly, nostalgic conversations, student performances, mentoring sessions, interactive exchanges, campus tours, sports, and shared moments over meals.

More than a reunion, Back 2 Roots 2026 was a bridge between the past, present, and future — giving our students the opportunity to learn from Old Shepherdians while allowing alumni to reconnect with the campus and community that shaped them.

From roots to journeys, from memories to new connections — the Shepherdian spirit lives on.

International Excellence at Bisley

A remarkable performance by the Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) Shooting Team at the 32nd GB Junior International Shooting Championship, Bisley, UK, where our student-athletes competed against elite junior shooters from 10 countries.

The team proudly secured 7 medals — 1 Gold and 6 Silver, along with a Runner-Up finish for the Boys Team and an impressive 4th Place finish for the Girls Team.

Team Highlights

•⁠ ⁠Boys Team — 2nd Place: Jenil, Rishi & Hirav
•⁠ ⁠Girls Team — 4th Place: Jagavi, Thea & Naira, narrowly missing the Bronze medal by just 5 points.

A special mention to Jenil Sardhara, who topped the Men’s Air Rifle qualification with an outstanding 612.3, leading the 10-nation field by nearly 9 points, before finishing 5th in the Top 8 Final.

Jagavi Ramani also delivered an exceptional performance, scoring 611.5 in qualification, entering the Top 8 Final in 3rd position and finishing 6th overall.

From precision and discipline to teamwork and sportsmanship, our shooters represented GSIS with pride on the international stage.

Champions of JIRS Sports Fiesta 2026

The GSIS Football Team emerged as the champions of the JIRS Sports Fiesta 2026, proudly lifting the championship trophy at the tournament held in Bengaluru.

A remarkable display of skill, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Congratulations to the entire team for this outstanding achievement and for making GSIS proud.

Celebrating 80 Years of Indian Independence! 🇮🇳

A proud and inspiring Independence Day celebration at GSIS, filled with patriotism, gratitude, and the spirit of freedom.
The celebration featured the Flag Hoisting and National Anthem, a heartfelt Prayer, Vande Mataram, inspiring speeches in Hindi and English, a special presentation on “Seventy Nine Years of Freedom”, a vibrant Patriotic Dance, and a melodious Choir Performance.

We were honoured to have Captain Sheelesh K Dubey as our Chief Guest, whose presence added to the significance of this special occasion.

As we celebrate our nation's journey, let us remember the sacrifices that shaped our freedom and inspire the next generation to carry forward the values of unity, courage, responsibility, and pride in our nation.

Off to Represent India on the World Stage! 🇬🇧

With unwavering focus, discipline, and determination, our talented junior sharpshooters from Good Shepherd International School have embarked on an extraordinary journey to compete at the 32nd GB Junior International Shooting Championship at Bisley Camp, United Kingdom.

Representing India 🇮🇳 with pride, our young athletes will compete in the 10m Air Rifle and 10m Air Pistol events against some of the world's finest junior shooters.

As they take aim on the international stage, we wish them confidence, precision, and every success. May this experience inspire them to achieve new heights and make our nation proud.

Celebrating our GSIS MYP Stars of 2025–26!

Our cohort of 22 students achieved an outstanding average of 42.1 out of 56, exceeding the world average of 37.71 by 4.39 points. The cohort recorded a highest score of 53, with two students scoring 50 or above and 14 achieving totals above 40.

Across the subject groups, our students earned 16 Grade 7s and 61 Grade 6s, with 12 subject areas performing above their respective world averages.

We are particularly proud of the exceptional performance in Personal Project, Visual Arts, Design, Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Learning. A special milestone was achieved by Dhruvi Agarwal and Aradhana M., who earned perfect scores of 32/32 in Design.

These results reflect five years of inquiry, perseverance, creativity, reflection and collaboration. We celebrate every student and acknowledge the teachers, mentors and families who supported them throughout their MYP journey.

The GSIS Library Book Fair was a wonderful highlight of the New Students' Orientation and a warm welcome back for our returning students!
It was heartening to see so many students exploring new books, discovering exciting stories, and leaving with smiles. Thank you to everyone who visited and helped make the Book Fair such a success.
