The Lawrence School, Lovedale Lawrence had mooted the idea about the establishment of a chain of schools wit The Lawrence School, Lovedale, has a sprawling campus of 750 acres (3.0 km2).

The Lawrence School, Lovedale is an educational institution in Lovedale, located near Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu, India and named for its founder, Sir Henry Montgomery Lawrence. Lovedale, six kilometres (3.7 miles) from Ootacamund, located at a height of 7200 feet above sea level, slightly lower than the Dodabetta peak (altitude: 8000 feet), the highest peak of the Nilgiris mountain range. The school

campus is divided into Prep school (classes four to six), Junior school (classes seven and eight) and senior school (classes nine to 12). The classrooms and dormitories of the different schools are housed in their respective buildings. The girls are housed in the girl's school and are required to go to the respective schools for classes.

Please meet Nikhil Dey SUM 80.

Nikhil is a social activist based in rural Rajasthan since 1990. He has been involved in the struggles of the poor for justice, including grass root causes for land rights and the payment of minimum wages. He is the founder/co-founder of the

Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) and several other critical people’s platforms including the National Campaign for People's Right to Information (NCPRI) and a host of formal organisations championing participatory democracy, the RTI Act and the fundamental rights of our poor and marginalized communities. He is a Co-convener of the NCPRI, and is currently a member of the Rajasthan State Audit Advisory Board and is an international envoy of the Multilateral Open Government Partnership (OGP).

“We The People” will be moderated by Anuli Katakam DEO 90, Dy. Editor with Frontline Magazine – The Hindu Group for the last 20 years. She will be in conversation with Nikhil on his fascinating and inspiring journey from Lovedale to the sands of Rajasthan and his passion to give back to society as well as his ideas on what it means to be a good citizen of India.

Thank you for signing on to and viewing our 2nd OL Assembly which was a great success with over 4000 views in the 5 days following the event!!!
Further to the announcement made during the event, we are pleased to confirm the soft launch of OL NATION, a monthly series of live professional knowledge and networking interactive webinars where a team of expert OLs will share their knowledge and career stories with our OL family. The panelists, moderators and experts span 3 generations of OLs and you will have the opportunity to interact with them during the Q&A sessions.

A formal update will be sent to you shortly with a link for registration (mandatory for security purposes). We will have 100 seats for live attendees and the event will also be streamed live on Facebook and other SM platforms.

We are pleased to bring you the 2nd "OL Assembly", a gathering of OLs from around the world just like we used to when we were in school.
Our second Assembly includes a performance by Arjit Sahai '12! Hear from the batches celebrating 25 & 50 years of leaving Lovedale!
