Don't apologize.

We repeat — Don't apologize. If you're nervous or have accidentally misspoken, don't draw people's attention to it by apologizing for it. Just get on with what you have to say and people will forget all about what you said.

Saying, "Sorry guys, I'm just so nervous," or "Oops, that was awkward," will only make things more awkward and uncomfortable.

Everyone makes mistakes and there's no need to acknowledge yours unless you're really, really good at poking fun at yourself.

The more vivid language is, the more it increases the impact of your message.

For eg: If you use the phrase "I could smell freshly baked chocolate chip cookies"...almost everyone has smelled that delicious aroma and the words can vividly awaken olfactory memories.

Most people misunderstand communication skills

SO misunderstood that if they speak good English, they are amazing speakers and can communicate well.

While this is NOT true.

Effective communication = Your message gets heard. Period.

English is just another LANGUAGE. You may know English but you might not be able to convey your message effectively.

Good communication means how effectively you can convey your message to the other person irrespective of your language.

Few ways to improve your communication skills:

• Speaking at the speed of normal conversation
• Believe in yourself
• Have a strong conviction about what you are saying
• Think and speak clearly
• Go out of your way to speak to people as frequently as possible

The more you practice, the easier it will become.
