You don't need perfect pronunciation to speak fluent English. You need to SPEAK.
You may know the difference between:
/ɪ/ and /iː/
/θ/ and /ð/
/ʃ/ and /tʃ/
You may know phonics rules, vowel sounds, consonant sounds, and pronunciation patterns.
But when someone suddenly asks:
"How was your day?"
Do you still pause?
Do you mentally translate every sentence?
Do you search for the “perfect” word before opening your mouth?
That's the real problem.
You may be spending too much time trying to speak correctly and too little time simply speaking.
Phonics is important. Pronunciation matters.
But fluency doesn't come from memorising sounds.
It comes from using English repeatedly.
So, what should you do?
1. Speak every day—even if your sentences aren't perfect.
2. Stop translating every thought from your first language.
3. Learn useful phrases, not just isolated words.
4. Listen and imitate natural English.
5. Describe what you see, what you do, and what you think.
6. Have short conversations instead of waiting until your English is “perfect.”
7. Make mistakes, notice them, and try again.
Remember:
Knowing musical notes doesn't mean you can play a song.
In the same way,
Knowing English sounds doesn't mean you can speak English fluently.
Learn the sounds.
Improve your pronunciation.
But use the language.
Because fluency grows when you stop waiting to be perfect and start communicating.
Don't wait for fluency to speak.
Speak to become fluent.
