Helping Hands is a student-volunteer organization committed for the welfare of student community in RGUKT-Nuzvid, a A.P state government university which caters to the educational needs of rural youth of Andhra Pradesh. Founded in the year 2009 by a group of enthusiastic students, it has been a driving force in instilling a sense of leadership and social responsibility among students who are other
wise mostly from the very modest/poor families. Helping Hands is instrumental in identifying and helping the students with various needs ranging from daily needs, tri-cycles, travel allowances, health needs (including surgeries), arranging life enriching events for students etc. Every year, it organizes health camps for students and staff and distributes free medicine. Student donations and old note books are its main funding sources. It has the presence of 200+ active student volunteers and is run by an executive committee which includes students and a few faculty.
