Dr. Aijaz Ahmad

My great mother passed away and left me alone. My mother Late Hameeda Khatoon was the first daughter of Maulana Shah Ali, a renowned aalim of Deoband and companion of Shaikhul Islam Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani, the founder of Jamiatul Ulmae Hind. The childhood of my mother passed in Darul Uloom Deoband where she lived with her parents in the old building of Dare Jadeed. She was married to my father Chaudhary Shafaat Mohammed, a Headmaster in Govt Junior High School. My father was also a very reputed scholar and renowned personality popularily known as Chaudhary sb and Master sb. As my mother lived in the midst of great theologians of India in Deoband, she was by nature well mannered and very caring to her husband and children. She passed most of her times in teaching the girls of my village, reading Quraan, performing five time prayer and tahajjud. She was well versed in Hadeeth and Quraan. She passed away on 2nd August 2024 on Friday after a short illness and buried on the next day in my native place Motipur in district Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
She has left behind her a vast hollow which undoubtedly could never be filled. Her loving and caring motherly treatment and memory will never be forgotten so easily. May Allah bless her best place in Jannatul firdaus.
