Making your child a positive person involves a combination of nurturing, guidance, and leading by example. 🗣
Here are some tips. 💡
• Children learn by observing their parents. Show them positivity in your actions and words.
• Teach your child to view challenges as opportunities for growth. Praise their efforts. Educate the idea that they can improve with effort and persistence.
• Encourage your child to express gratitude regularly. This could be through a gratitude journal, daily discussions about what they are thankful for.
• Encourage open communication and actively listen to their concerns and feelings.
• Help your child develop positive self-talk by addressing negative thoughts and replacing them with positive affirmations.
• Equip your child with the skills to solve problems and cope with difficulties. This can build their confidence and reduce feelings of helplessness in challenging situations.
• Monitor and manage exposure to negative influences, such as certain media content or toxic relationships.
• Acknowledge and celebrate your child's achievements, no matter how small. This boosts their self-esteem.

5 ways to help your child develop a positive mindset 🧠

Be a Role Model: Practice positivity in your life. Children often copy what they see their parents doing, therefore, showing them optimism will encourage them to adapt the same behaviour.

Practice Gratitude: Regularly say what you are thankful for and have your kid do likewise. This can help them concentrate on the bright side of their lives.

Teach Affirmations: Teach your child create positive affirmations which can assist him/her in building self-esteem.

Challenge Negative Thoughts:

Discuss Emotions:
Help your child express his or her feelings. Make him or her in realizing that it’s alright to be sad, angry, or worried but there are ways of dealing with such feelings.

Learning in the mother tongue is the best start to education

Parents and teachers together help to build the foundation for the child as they start their journey in this world.

Parenting is a joyful experience. Cuddling, kissing, hugging, playing, and nourishing the young ones is a special feeling. And that feeling became magical for me when both the little ones started to utter those first few words in their life.

A beautiful process that became even more adorable when little ones conversed in their mother language with people around them. Colloquial words that we as parents had heard from our grandparents sounded so special when coming from these little ones.

I’m not sure if my child is being bullied.

What signs should I look out for?

Keep an eye on your child’s emotional state, as some children may not express their concerns verbally.

Talk to your children about what they think is good and bad behaviour in school, in the community and online. It is important to have open communication so that your children will feel comfortable telling you about what is happening in their lives.
