MSME DEVELOPMENT FORUM, a non-profit organisation, is genuinely striving hard for revival, promotion & to accelerate
growth of MSMEs to fight Global invasion and work for “MAKE IN INDIA”Mission of Modi Ji..
Forum’s prime focus is to spread awareness regarding Government’s promotional & developmental schemes for MSMEs and to
ensure their implementation up to the micro levels, help start up Tiny, Micro, Small enterprises & Medium for capacity building,
creating new job opportunities & enhancing skills. It will assist in getting easy credit, marketing-branding-IT & Legal support,
innovation and technology transfer.
MSMEs are the invisible root feeding the survival of large majority population (Apx.50 crore) of the country. It has been a bitter
truth that decades of earlier Governments and other stake holders, who were required to work towards the growth of this vital and
dynamic sector to the economy, have ignored to provide equal opportunity and level playing field to the MSMEs. Due to which,
majority of the MSMEs particularly “LAGHU UDHYAMIS” die in the first year of their existence and thousands of Udhyamis are
forced to commit suicides.
MSME’s are the driving force behind a large number of innovations and contribute to the National Growth through employment
generation, investments, manufacturing and exports. Thus, the sector has been an important vehicle for attaining inclusive and
sustainable growth in the country. MSME play an important role throughout the Globe as it constitutes more than 90% of all
enterprises in most of the countries and employ more than one third of the working population in Emerging economies.
MSMEs are perhaps the most crucial link between India’s economic growth and socio-economic transformation. It is diverse in
terms of size, technology levels, locations, and product range that spans from grass-root village industry to sophisticated units
producing traditional to hi-tech items such as Handlooms & Handicrafts to auto components, micro-processors, electronic
components and electro-medical devices etc. MSME’s are nurseries for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The sector contributes 8 percent to the country’s GDP, 45 percent of the manufactured output and 40 per cent of its exports. The
MSMEs provide employment to about 120 million people ( apx. 69 % of manufacturing work force) through over 57.7 million
enterprises ( 90% in unorganized sector), producing over eight thousand products.
In the light of significant contribution of MSMEs, it is believed that India can achieve next level of economic growth via MSMEs
which can propel India’s growth rate from around 7 % at present to a sustainable 10 plus percent in the medium to long term.
Traditionally MSME Sector had been unorganised & disintegrated and could not become a vote Bank to attract much political
attention or backing. Now with 65% of young India, more & more youth, Agri-Entrepreneurs, women ST/SC, OBCs, Dalits etc, are
joining this sector and are looking for quick returns for “ACHEY DIN ”.Now this sector has also become politically sensitive and
important. Every year Apx. 1.5 Crore youth enter the work force where as only Forty Lakh jobs are generated every year, leaving a
huge gap between demand & supply. Its only Tiny- Micro- Small & Medium sector which can fill up this gap. By next elections in
2019. Apx. Eighteen crore new & young voters will enter the work force and will look for employment.
Over the past One Year, Modi Government has taken several steps for survival & growth of this sector and have made several
interventions to facilitate access to finance in a timely, affordable and reliable manner through Mudra & Sahyog Bank etc.
At "India MSME Expo & Summit-2015" we have endeavoured to unite all the MSME stake holders under one roof to discuss
issues affecting growth of MSME sector and arrive at solutions. A summary of the discussions has been sent to the concerned
Ministries of the government for examining and implementation.
The forum organizes seminars, conferences, expos, fairs to promote the MSME sector and to connect people & organizations at
