15thJuly,1928 was the day when HE was born in a middle class family in a small village Mandha ( Sikar ),Rajasthan.At the age of 5,his father expired and he had to join a ration depot and do other odd jobs to survive himself,his mother and a younger sister. Through hardwork and self study ,earned degrees of M.A.,Ph.D.,D.Litt.....He was the first person in the History of Panjab University, Chandigarh,who was awarded degree of Doctor of Literature. Subsequently,He rose upto the high post of Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University,Shimla and the world came to know him as Professor Dr.Ganpati Chandra Gupta. Mr. Abraham Lincoln,16th President of America,who too rose from a hut to Presidential Palace and ended slavery from America,was his Hero.To pay tribute to his Hero,he wanted to visit USA but could not do so during his life time! Now myself-- being his eldest son-- has arrived in USA to fullfil his dream.Today,on his 91st birth anniversary, I pay rich tribute to him as well as to his Hero!
