Conversations that matter begin with prepared adults.

Our Elementary parent community came together for a workshop on Comprehensive Sexuality Education—a space for honest questions, shared reflections, and a deeper understanding of how we support children between 6–12 years.

The Sketches team continues its own learning journey through engagements with TARSHI, strengthening how we hold these conversations with greater clarity, sensitivity, and care.

These are not always easy conversations. Yet, in today’s world, they are essential. When approached with clarity, respect, and responsibility, they become an opportunity to guide children toward awareness, dignity, and a strong sense of self.

What stood out across both spaces—parents and educators—was a shared willingness to engage, to listen, and to learn.

This alignment between home and school is what allows children to grow up not just informed, but grounded in values, respect, and responsibility.

The AMI 3–6 Diploma Course is not just about learning how to work with children.

It is an opportunity
to understand children more deeply,
and to reflect on our own responses as adults.

It asks for time and attention —
but it is a journey that anyone can step into,
with openness and willingness.

For many,
it becomes a meaningful and lasting experience.

If this speaks to you,
you may want to explore further.

Sometimes, what feels difficult with children isn’t the situation itself —
it’s that we don’t fully understand what we’re seeing.

And when that begins to shift, everything else starts to fall into place.

This is the work we are opening up this summer —
a space for parents to step into a deeper understanding of their child.

Through the lens of Montessori education,
we explore how children grow, behave, and learn.

Often, freedom is mistaken for the absence of limits, and discipline for control.
In reality, the two are deeply connected.
When a child experiences freedom within clear and consistent boundaries, they begin to regulate their actions, develop concentration, and act with intention.
This is where true discipline takes root—not through instruction, but through lived experience.

At the Learning Societies unConference 2026, our adolescent community (12–16 years) from Sketches Montessori had a 4-day residential experience where they engaged with a space full of diverse people, ideas, and ways of thinking.

Over those days, they found themselves in conversations, workshops, and shared spaces with individuals from varied journeys. Moments of connection with people like Nandita Das, Shammi Nanda, and many others opened up new perspectives and questions.

What stays is not just who they met, but the experience of being in a space where learning happens through dialogue, collaboration, and participation—where young people begin to see themselves in relation to the wider world.

Spaces like these matter deeply to our community of students.

A journey through nature, early civilizations, and living cultures 🌿

Across Bhopal — from Bhimbetka Rock Shelters to Sanchi Stupa — children experienced history and culture in a way that stayed with them.

Over 4 days, they planned, took responsibility, figured things out, and moved together as a group — many travelling independently for the first time.

There were questions, conversations, small challenges, and many moments of discovery along the way.

History is not just something to be read year by year, but something to be felt and understood deeply.
It helps us see how we exist, and reminds us that this world is not ours alone.

We came into being after millions of years, yet we often live as if we alone have a right to it — forgetting that we share it with all life, and carry a responsibility to care for it. 🌿

Grateful for the trust of our parent community that makes journeys like this possible ✨

Earlier this month, the visit of Supraja trainers - Ms. Rukmini, Ms. Ruby, and Ms. Ramya marked a powerful and inspiring beginning to our in-school preparation for the upcoming AMI 3–6 training journey. Their presence brought clarity, direction, and a renewed sense of purpose as they engaged with the entire team in a deep and reflective discussion on how to meaningfully bring Montessori values into everyday school life.

Together, we explored what it truly means to prepare ourselves as adults—not just in skill, but in mindset and intention—so we can offer the very best to the child. The conversation also focused on refining and polishing our techniques, emphasizing the importance of consistency, collaboration, and conscious effort as a united team.

As a team, we are truly excited to support the long-awaited beginning of AMI Montessori training programs in Delhi NCR and look forward to educators and school leaders from the wider community availing this opportunity for this internationally accredited training offered by Association Montessori Internationale, Netherlands in Delhi region after a gap of 67 years
