Industrial Visit to Yakult | Bridging Academia & Industry 🏭

The College of Pharmacy, JSS University, Noida organized an industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd.’s fully automated manufacturing plant in Rai, Sonipat, Haryana, for B.Pharm 4th year students to provide practical exposure to industrial processes in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sector.

The company specializes in probiotic-based nutraceutical products and advanced microbial fermentation technology, offering students valuable insight into this unique domain. During the visit, students gained insights into probiotic formulation, fermentation technology, large-scale manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance, along with GMP, hygiene standards, and product safety.

An expert session further enriched their understanding of production processes, quality control measures, and the health benefits of probiotics, along with an interactive discussion on real-world industrial operations.

The visit was successfully coordinated and guided by Dr. Rohit Singh, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Dr. Hina Kausar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy and Mr. Ashutosh Solanki, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology.

Overall, the visit served as a valuable learning experience, strengthening students’ understanding of industrial practices and inspiring them toward future roles in the pharmaceutical industry.

🏅 ₹1,00,000 BioE3 Design Challenge Winner

College of Pharmacy JSS University Noida are elated to announce that Shivam Singh, 2nd year M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) student, has been felicitated with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 for winning the prestigious BioE3 Design Challenge.

The award ceremony took place on 18th April 2026 at the National Institute of Immunology (NII) , New Delhi. The challenge was organized by DBT‑BIRAC and BRIC (Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council).

This recognition reflects the calibre of research and innovation that our students bring to the forefront of pharmaceutical sciences.
