In a time of numerous COVID-19 related studies, we delved into unexplored territory by conducting a comprehensive stakeholder assessment of its impact on destinations. Our study examines the ripple effects on businesses, workforce, and local communities. 🏨🌆 Considering recent advancements and relaxed travel restrictions, we also analyze the potential effects of interventions on the recovery process. This research aims to contribute to sustainable recovery strategies for the tourism industry. 🛫💼

Increasing livelihoods, reducing poverty, and preserving the environment in mountainous areas are all made possible by sustainable tourism, according to the UNWTO and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). As a result, mountain tourism in the vast Himalayan region is crucial for maintaining not just human life but also the indigenous population, the flora and fauna, the ecosystem, and the environment of the entire region.
