The Fête de la musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June.

World Music Day was first celebrated in France in 1982. The Minister of Art and Culture, Jack Lange, gave this festival a green light, along with a renowned French composer named Maurice Fleuret. Every year, it is celebrated on the day of the summer solstice, which is June 21. The aim behind this was to bring people out on the streets and enjoy themselves listening to the music, however they like it.

Since then, around 120 countries in the world celebrate this incredible day.

Melophile Music Institute,

An ostinato is any melodic, rhythmic or chordal phrase, usually short, that’s repeated continuously through a section of a work, or through the whole piece.🎶🎼💭

The circle of 5ths is a map of the keys used in music.🎼🌈

It helps us find out how many sharps or flats there are in a y key signature.🎶💭

A key signature is a visual symbol, printed on a musical staff, that indicates what key a section of music is written in. 🎶

They are represented by using accidentals—better known as sharps and flats. 🎼💭

The number of sharps or flats indicated in the key signature will tell the player what key the music is in.😍🎶

An Interval in music is the distance in pitch between two notes. 🎶

The interval is counted from the lower note to the higher one, with the lower note counted as 1.🎼💭

The name "Accidentals" was originated because they occur only occasionally in the course of a musical composition and are thus distinguishable from the signs of similar import written in the key signature and forming part of the normal scale.🎶💭
