This triumph also highlights how a small spark of encouragement and collective support from our fellow countrymen can fuel the will and determination of countless women.
Right from harmanpreet kaur to Shafali Verma, Rodrigues, and Mandhana — every player’s and lets not forget there coach Anmol majumdar there journey reflects grit, grace, and resilience.

They didn’t just play; they endured, paving the way for this incredible moment to become a reality.
A gentle nudge, a few words of faith — that’s all it takes to turn centuries of bias and discrimination into dust.

Hi, everyone...as you all know we are doing an awareness campaign for .. PERIOD POVERTY
while doing so we have come across some amazing people who have pitched forward to spread this awareness.

We swashakti have collaborated with
"COOK WITH TRIPTI" a YouTube channel by a very dear friend Tripti Bhalotia..
She will be preparing a nutritious breakfast for menstruating girls ....

JAN AUSHADHI KENDRA and PERIOD PRODUCTS:

There are approximately 6300 JAN AUSHADHI KENDRAS in India rite now, Opened under Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojna -PMBJP.It provides quality generic medicines to masses at a much better rates than a normal pharmacy. They also keep sanitary products ,which is available for Re/-1per pad n ,Re/_ 4 per pack ,each pack contains 4 napkins ,which is way more affordable
for a girl or a women of a low income group compared to Rs/- 25 per pack. Best part is they are biodegradable made with oxo- biodegradable material, complying with ASTM-D6954(biodegradability test)standards.

The union budget 2021-2022 also proposed, more than 20,000 empanelled hospitals and expansion of Jan Aushadhi Kendra's to all districts by 2024.

If this is achieved in the said period of time,it will not only increase the availability of period products for low income groups,but will also go a long way in creating awareness n menstrual positivity....Jan Aushadhi sanitary napkin is also a very positive step towards biodegradable solutions for sanitary napkins.

We swashakti hope and will work towards going the SCOTLAND WAY, in making period products free in India.

PERIOD POVERTY AND IT'S EFFECTS ON
GIRL EDUCATION:
On an average girls miss six school days of a month,due to shame surrounding the periods or lack of sanitary supplies ,both at home and schools.
Menstruation is one of the reasons why most of the girls drop out of the school,the other being patriarchy.
Girls that leave school are stunted in their career growth, exposure of the real world and world of knowledge. They are also more likely to leave school and be married off before age.
India has highest no. of child brides in the world approx. 15.5 million.

SOLUTIONS:
A handful of states in U.S.A passed laws mandating schools provide menstrual products to students....deeming them as essential as toilet products. Thus proving schools can play a big role in ending period poverty.
