Chacha Sardar Ajit Singh ji made the British bow down to the rights of the farmer, even before we were a democracy. Bhagat Singh was born the same day he was released from Mandalay Jail in 1907, but could not come back to India. So he took the farmers’ movement global.
He spread awareness about farmer rights in every corner of the earth including Europe, South America, Iran, …the list is long.
And finally last breathe on Aug 15, 1947, the day is home was partitioned.
WHY IS THERE NO MOVIE ON HIM, STILL?
He should be “True Chacha of the nation”. Every one can relate with him. He saved our lands and farming. He abolished colonial Black laws, the Colonisation Act and the Doab Bari Act.
He is a true farmer leader, “the king of the Indian Peasantry”, as he was aptly titled by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
