Last week, students of senior school and members of our Interact Club visited the HelpAge-supported home in Uttam Nagar to spend time, listen and share a few happy moments with our community members.

We were greeted by a gentle smile at the gate and soon found ourselves sitting in stories, singing songs, playing games and even dancing together.

What we thought would be a small act of giving turned into a lesson in patience, presence and gratitude; the students returned with quieter eyes and fuller hearts.

Thank you to the residents and to HelpAge for this moving day of intergenerational friendship, and this soft, echoing love and CARE.

Our Art Excellence team brings a different kind of magic to school, the kind that comes from patiently mastering your craft, with teamwork, and pure joy for noticing the little things around us 🌼

These after-school excellence classes help our children in sharpening their craft, and practice leadership that comes from creating something together.

When recess turns into research hour at NiBS;

Grade 3 nature-walkers out on their feet, exploring the outdoors without pen and paper, without the expectation of having to recite their learnings in a class test, but fully present in the messy, but curious learning moment. An Aham-Sah belief, that the outdoors and the indoors, the community and the self, are all part of one existence, one earth, and belong with each other.

We celebrate our tiny explorers with their leaves full of wonder!🪴

We gathered as a community to plan how to support our Class 10 students in the weeks ahead.
We talked tactics of micro breaks, movement, nutrition, simple revision cycles, while listening to the real worries and hopes families carry.

Our principal, Ms. Dasgupta helped make a clear path with next steps with her hands-on, and compassionate approach and our Grade 11 students offered practical and recent experience.

We left with more clarity on how to support every child through the Board exams. Thank you to our parents for trusting us and for walking this path towards together with us.

What a joy to see young writers at work!

Our 10 day GET AUTHORISED project saw classrooms turned into writers’ studios! Our Junior School got busy with fair tales, to journal entries, picture stories and persuasive pieces. They practiced the whole writing cycle with extreme craft and CARE- planning, drafting, revising, polishing, peer feedback.

Our classrooms transformed into a community of readers, writers and careful listeners, where every VOICE mattered!

What a day of play, laughter and loud cheers!

Our junior children danced a little, played fun games, watched movies and earned the cutest tags that VOICED their beautiful qualities.

Our senior students witnessed their teachers curate a ‘Kavi Sammelan’ and the entire senior school teachers got together for a tribute to the musical journey of childhood to growing up.

We then saw teachers and students form new connections with healthy challenges on the field- through cricket, football, badminton and dodgeball.

We closed with everyone dancing together, celebrating the inner child that makes learning joyful.
