आज गांव सुराना, जिला गाज़ियाबाद में एक सामान्य ज्ञान प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया ।
जिसमे गांव के छात्र छात्राओं ने भाग लिया ।
प्रतियोगिता में 13 प्रतिभाओं को सम्मानित किया गया ।

we are going to start an annual talent search exam to search and help brilliant students in rural villages.
we are planning this exam in two phases.

the lamp of education that you lighted
so many years earlier
is enlightening millions of your daughters today

for the respect of today women
you sacrificed all your life
facing abuse
even dirt thrown on you
even risking your life
but you never let your ambitions turn impure
by the filth of this chauvinists society

we are indebted by your sacrifice..

There are so many reports published by NGOs and govt bodies on the attendance of govt primary and secondary schools.
Attendance is hardly 50% in the schools.
One of the main reason is that students are not taking part in teaching process. There is a lack of interest in students.
So on this new year.....
we started our most awaited plan.
We are converting the whole books in worksheets, by which students will take part in teaching process and will enjoy the study.
This is the new thing for students so they will enjoy it.
We are on trial for next few months and we will check all pros and cons so that we can modified this plan according to the ground realities.

The Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) has proposed that no child will be failed till Class 5. Now if student who will be fail in class 6th,7th or in 8th, he/she will be remain in the same class. This decision is good,but in our view...fail should be fail in all classes. It should also be applicable for all classes.

‘No detention’ may soon be till Class 5, not 8 The existing provision says the no-detention or no-fail policy is applicable till the completion of elementary education (Class 8).

we are presenting few facts about Indian education survey published by Pratham Education Foundation as ASER( Annual Status of Education Report ).
ASER 2014......
> In class 3, 75% can not read 2nd class text book.
> In class 5, 50% can not read 2nd class text book.
> In class 2, 24% can not identify numbers between 0 to 9.
> In class 5, 74.5% can not solve a simple division.
and many more.........

for the current education condition, there are not a single reason. There are many reasons. As the citizen of country, we all are responsible. We can not change the whole system in a single night...but we can. So we started "UMANG", to be the part of this change making process.
We are working on many solutions related to this problem.
