Recently supreme court in a historic judgment held gay s*x will not be a crime(sec.377 Indian penal code)This judgment has been hailed by many all around the world. But the main question which is more disturbing then anything . Will the society accept it ? or aware of this?(majority) If not then what is the use of such a mammoth hearing and hail all around. All the historic and society changing judgments merely become a bundle of paper or sometime slowly become a part of a good legal journals , newspaper, topic for discussion nothing else as such. The day when judgment came all the media channels , legal fraternities , social engineers were discusssing this like anything (some in favour some opposing). And the very next day we all forget discussing about such a cardinal issue. It is a high time to aware the last man of society regarding such historic and society changing verdict( media , non government organisation, ministry of information and broadcasting) so that these judgments can got its essence. The need is not only to amend the laws through these judgments but to amend the mentality of the mass who still thinks these all colonial laws are good practices and still unaware of the fact that the law has been read down.
