ess in all directions. The combined efforts of old students of Kendriya Vidyalaya R K Puram, Sector 2, New Delhi have brought into existence Kendriya Vidyalaya R K Puram Alumni Association (Regd.). This non-profit organization has been duly registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 at New Delhi. The Association has a wide representation of alumni which includes Senior Bureaucrats from Government of India, senior officers from the military and Para Military, revenue etc & Public Sectors, Managing Directors/ Directors/ CEO’s from the corporate world, professionals, entrepreneurs from India and abroad. This Alumni Association is perhaps the only Association among known alumni associations of KVs all over India, which has been registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Alumni Association has got due recognition from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the current Principal of the school is the Patron of Association with Deputy Commissioner, KVS (Delhi Region) as its Chief Patron. The Alumni Association has its own dynamic website http://www.kvrkpalumni.org which has been sponsored by Mr. Jasbir Singh, a fellow KVite of 1987 Batch. A link to this website has also been provided on our school’s website. An interactive group has also been created on the facebook, which is being updated regularly with all the latest news about the Alumni Association. Apart from creating a strong, world-wide, fully interactive community of alumni, this Association have some serious objectives too as we intends do something for our alma-mater, the school which is responsible for making us what we are today. Last year during 4th Annual Reunion, some of our members sponsored the cash awards of Rs. 5000/- each to 11 meritorious students of KV Sec 2 RK Puram, and this year too, this tradition is going to be followed with an increase in number of awards, thanks to the more participation of our fellow KVites. Besides holding counseling sessions, one of the major achievements of this Association was getting the school canteen renovation from its own resources and also through voluntary donations from fellow members. Kendriya Vidyalaya R K Puram Alumni Association (Regd.) organizes its Annual Reunion during the month of December / January every year wherein Alumni from all over participates. Last year, the association celebrated its 4th Annual Re-Union on 18th December, 2011 at New Delhi and it is a matter of pride for all of us that Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Hon’ble Addl. Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan graced the occasion with his benign presence as Chief Guest.
