The impact she was making on her maid's kids through story telling and craft was noticed by other kids and parents in the neighbourhood.

15 years ago when Sumita Kakkar,a housewife in Green Park Extension New Delhi,opened the doors of her house to educate her maid's kids,little did she know that she would transform the lives of many more kids in her neighbourhood and of those, who would volunteer to help. Soon, with more kids and volunteers,'Gyandeep-Centre For Learning And Activities For Underprivileged Children' was born.There ar

e children between the age group of 6 to 15 years and academic levels from Kinder Garten to Class 12 .Some of the girls have never been to school. Gyandeep works on a unique model.We help the parents to put their children in Government or Private schools where there is free quota for economically weaker section of society.We provide a place,after school,to teach life skills.Develop language skills through story telling.Basic Mathematics,General Knowledge,Health & Hygiene through discussions and quiz. We celebrate all festivals in our own style, which help them understand the world around them better. The remarkable change in the lives of these kids and their families is a testimony of our efforts. We are thankful to Kavita Zaa,Deepa Mathur, Shashi Jain and Mr.V.P. Garg for their contribution in the past. Our current active team is Sumita Kakkar,Sunila Sachdeva,Anjali Naik, ,Neerja Pathak, Navneet Kohli, Priya Mathivanan and Nalini Rani. Volunteers at present are Sunita Wahi, Kiren Babal, Payal Jain,Kalyani,Diwita,Gurkirrat,Varsha, Preeta, Manjot & Arjun.

🌟Our Navoudit team is shaping up well and it's going to be an amazing experience for sure! 🌟
🌟 It's not about winning prizes or fierce competition; it's about the journey, the learning, and the joy of growth. 🌟

💞We're witnessing quiet kids shine in dance, distracted ones create masterpieces in science model and wealth out of waste, and volunteers connect with our kids like family and addressing them as our children!💞

That's what makes it truly special!
The atmosphere is electric, with 63 kids preparing for 17 categories - dance, drama, clay modelling, poster making... the list goes on! We're proud of the progress they're making, and every small win is a big deal for us.

16 Years of Love, Laughter, and Legacy! 🎉💖
Our Founder's Day celebration was truly a grand success! 🌟
The hard work, creativity, and coordination of our children and volunteers shone bright. 💫

The celebration began with a serene prayer and yoga performance, setting the tone for a memorable day. 🙏 We paid a heartfelt tribute to our guiding star, Dadaji Shri Amarnath Kakkar ji, whose vision continues to inspire us. 🙏

The children presented a captivating synopsis of the year's achievements, followed by a spectacular play that wowed the audience with its dance sequences, skit, drama, and emotional depth. 🎭
The theme "Mitti se jude Maitri me bandhe" resonated deeply, highlighting the importance of going back to your roots and nourishing the community with knowledge and skills 🌎

We honored our dedicated volunteers and outstanding students with awards, and the evening was filled with mesmerizing dance performances by the children.
A special mention to the mothers of our students who stole the show with their skit! 🎉
The event concluded with a joyous dance performance by teachers, volunteers, and the audience, leaving everyone enthralled. 💖
Kudos to our student volunteers and senior children for conceptualizing and executing this magnificent event!

Heartfelt thanks to Bharat Soka Gakkai and the Kilkari project volunteers of Connecting Dreams Foundation, Gargi college, for their invaluable support to make the show successful! 🙏

"Ganesh Utsav Celebration at Gyandeep! 🙏🎉

Rainsi and Sonali, our enthusiastic Kilkari volunteers, kicked off the day with excitement! 🌟
After the prayer, they led an engaging activity session, bringing Ganesh's life stories to life for our young learners.

The highlight of the session was when Sonali taught the children how to make adorable origami elephants 🐘. Her patience and love made every child feel special! 💖

The session concluded with Kirendidi's creative twist - drawing Ganesh ji from the number 8 🎨. It was truly fascinating!

Learning with fun is what we aim for at Gyandeep, and this session was a perfect example of that! 🌟

Today, we had an incredible session with Vaishali Sharma, who has been a part of Gyandeep family in the past.
During the Covid pandemic, Vaishali worked with us as a student volunteer, delivering online classes with dedication and passion. Her commitment and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! 🌟

After completing her education, Vaishali took the next step in her journey, joining a renowned school as a teacher. And, in a beautiful full-circle moment, she reached out to us again to contribute to Gyandeep's mission. Today, she's working with us to develop a curriculum for our elementary classes and training our student volunteers! 📚👩‍🏫

It's heartwarming to see how good things keep coming back when our community inspires each other to do good work. Vaishali 's selflessness and expertise are a blessing to our organization, and we're grateful for her presence. 🙏

Today we conducted a live, interactive online session with Vaishali at Gyandeep.
The session was enlightening, and we learned so much about teaching and nurturing children from her expertise. Her passion for education and her commitment to making a difference are truly contagious! 💡
