Entry 28, Theme Photography Contest: "Small Steps to a Bigger Future" by Soudipan Maity, TERI University
Background:
"Great things develop from small beginnings. Being a former volunteer of Child Rights and You (CRY) Kolkata chapter, we got to engage with underprivileged children at various campaigns and work towards giving them a better life. When CRY organized a summer camp for them back in 2016, the children were encouraged to learn and engage in several creative activities like photography, clay sculpture, painting and music under our guidance, as per their choices. Children took active enthusiasm in each of the activities and this picture of them working on making their first clay giraffe rightfully shows that big things do have humble beginnings, but that is what makes them all the more beautiful."
