Greetings from the Moot Court Association, Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia!
The 10th Jamia Millia Islamia National Moot Court Competition 2023 commenced with great enthusiasm and energy on its first day, 3rd November, 2023. The event, known for fostering legal acumen and promoting healthy competition among law students, witnessed a mix of academic rigour and celebratory events.
The day kicked off with the Researcher's Test held in the morning, an integral component of the competition aimed at evaluating the participants' research skills, analytical thinking, and legal knowledge. The participants, representing various law schools across the country, engaged in a rigorous examination that tested their understanding of legal principles and their ability to apply them in practical scenarios. The Researcher's Test set the tone for the intellectual rigor that would characterize the subsequent rounds of the moot court competition.
The highlight of the day was the grand Inaugural Ceremony held in the evening, graced by eminent personalities in the legal field. We felt privileged to invite Hon’ble Ms. Justice Asha Menon (Former Judge, Delhi High Court) as the Chief Guest of the event. Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kulshreshtha, Dean, School of Law, Bennett University was welcomed as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony was illuminated by the presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Padma Shri Prof. Dr. Najma Akhtar and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia Prof. Dr. Eqbal Hussain.
Day 1 of the 10th Jamia Millia Islamia National Moot Court Competition 2023 set the stage for an intellectually stimulating and engaging event.
