To share his words of wisdom, we have our panelist Dr. Y. Suresh Reddy. He is the Lead CSR & Director at SRF Foundation. Dr. Reddy is a specialist in school education, vocational skills, and a very practical CSR leader. He has authored couple of books entitled “Co-operatives & Rural Development” and “Child Labor in India”.

Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarshani is a certified Corporate Director, Senior Management Professional having over 25 years of experience in varied domains ranging from CSR to Sustainability and from Corporate Governance to Corporate Strategy. She presently holds the leadership role as a General Manager - CSR, Sustainability, Land, R&R, and Community Relations with Hindalco Industries Limited.

The blog talks about the Inclusion of people with disabilities at the workplace, their low employment rate due to unwanted stereotyping and various social stigmas, and the worsening of the situation with the onset of Covid-19. The blog also highlights the campaign "The Valuable 500" which aims to bring 'Diversity Inclusion' to the main business agenda of all the 500 companies which are part of this campaign.

ETO Motors, the country’s leading electric mobility solutions & services company commenced operations of over 50 e-rickshaws at Kevadia in Gujarat, in partnership with The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA). The company would further look at deploying over 350 Electric Vehicles in next four to six months.

The entire fleet of the 50 TriLux e-rickshaws is being operated by women and will be another first to have all women drivers operating these vehicles. The operations would cover all of Kevadia, making it truly India’s first electric vehicle city. The e-rickshaws would be driven by women with the theme “Mai ETO Bhi Chalaungi aur Ghar Bhi” (“I will run my home as well as ETO”). This further resonates with ETO’s vision of 3Es’ (Environment, Employment and Empowerment), where along with running environment friendly vehicles, the company also provides employment opportunities to women and thus empowering them.

Yesterday, Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Tech Mahindra, hosted the sixth edition of Saajhi Samajh on ‘Including Disability at the Workplace: From Aspiration to Action’.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December 2021, an expert-led panel discussion was hosted to promote the idea of an inclusive workplace for persons with disabilities (PWDs). The online event was attended by corporate veterans, employers, and young entrepreneurs to understand the significance of creating a conducive environment for PWDs.
