Our final phrasal verb for exercise is PASS OUT, meaning to become unconscious or to fall asleep.
We can use this phrasal verb to mean someone has fainted from exhaustion or some other cause: "He passed out during the game because he was dehydrated." Or, we can use it to team to fall asleep, usually after physical or mental strain: "I worked out for three hours yesterday and passed out as soon as I got home."
