The Sarva Sahodya Art & Photography Exhibition – “Canvas & Clicks” unfolded as a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, and unfiltered childhood joy at Aparna Art Gallery, New Delhi, on 22nd and 23rd January 2026.
The two-day exhibition showcased an extraordinary collection of 95 artworks and photographs created by talented students from 15 participating schools, reflecting remarkable sensitivity, originality, and artistic maturity far beyond their years.
The exhibition was graciously inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Amit Kapoor, Vice President, International Watercolor Society (IWS) Global, and Ms. Arpana Caur – Eminent Contemporary Indian Artist, whose presence added immense prestige to the occasion. Mr. Kapoor and Ms. Arpana Caur deeply appreciated the authentic expressions, confident compositions, and fearless use of colour demonstrated by the young artists, describing their work as “a beautiful dialogue between tradition and innocence.”
Educators and Principals Lend Strength to the Celebration
The exhibition witnessed the enthusiastic participation and guidance of dedicated art educators including Ms. Aditi Misra (DPS, Sector 45), Ms. Mallika (Tagore International School, East of Kailash), Ms. Richa Sharma (Ramjas School), Ms. Richa Agnihotri (Sanskriti School), Ms. Anuradha Sinha (Millennium School, Noida), Ms. Ruby Malhotra (Delhi Police Public School, Safdarjung Enclave),Mr. Rajat (General Raj School), and Ms. Mudita Sharma (Gyan Bharti School).
The presence of respected Principals at the inauguration further elevated the event, reflecting strong institutional support for arts education and reaffirming faith in nurturing creativity as a vital component of holistic learning.
A Tribute to India’s Tribal Art Heritage
The Art Competition segment, themed “Tribal Art Forms of India”, paid a heartfelt tribute to India’s rich indigenous traditions. Students interpreted classical tribal styles such as Warli, Gond, Madhubani, Bhil, Saura, Sohrai, Pithora, and Khovar with astonishing finesse, transforming the gallery into a living canvas of stories, symbols, and soulful rhythms.
Each artwork stood out for its vivid storytelling, intricate detailing, and emotional depth, revealing how young minds can respectfully reinterpret heritage while infusing it with fresh energy and contemporary relevance.
Capturing Childhood: A Lens of Pure Joy
The Photography Showcase, aptly titled “Songs of Innocence / Smiles Unfiltered”, was equally enchanting. Through their lenses, students captured fleeting smiles, spontaneous laughter, and tender moments of childhood wonder, freezing emotions that spoke directly to the heart. These photographs radiated warmth, honesty, and a rare emotional clarity that moved viewers deeply.
An Inspiring Platform for Young Voices
“Canvas & Clicks” emerged not merely as an exhibition, but as an inspiring platform where young voices spoke through colours, lines, and moments, leaving visitors spellbound. The exhibition stood as a glowing reminder that when children are given freedom, guidance, and trust, they create magic.
Sarva Sahodya’s initiative once again proved that art education is not just about skill, but about cultivating empathy, cultural awareness, and joyful self-expression.
