For EdTerra Edventures, Agra is not just another destination. It is where our journey began 17 years ago, and it continues to reflect our vision of helping students discover India through meaningful educational travel. Our new reel on Fatehpur Sikri revisits a powerful Mughal story shaped by Emperor Akbar’s vision, grand monuments, and the challenge of water scarcity that eventually led to its abandonment.

EdTerra’s delivery approach combines customised reading material, audio lessons, and group activities to help students engage meaningfully with the history of India’s monuments.

Watch the reel to unfold the story of Fatehpur Sikri.

Celebrating 80 Years of India’s Independence by Experiencing India, Truly.

For 17 years, EdTerra has taken students across the country to encounter India’s historic stories firsthand—from the landscapes of Delhi and Mumbai to the planned city of Chandigarh and the poignant history of the Andamans, among countless other destinations.

As India marks 80 years of Independence, we celebrate the privilege of helping young learners explore the country, understand its many layers, and build a connection with its history through experience.

Because knowing India begins with experiencing India. 🇮🇳

Shri Shikshayatan School | Bhutan, Through Their Eyes

Travelling through Bhutan was one experience. Telling the story of that journey was another.

As students from Shri Shikshayatan School, Kolkata travelled through destinations like Buddha Dordenma, Takin Preserve, and Dochula Pass, they also worked together to create a travel vlog that captured the journey from their own perspective.

Researching each place, deciding what to include, recording their narration, and putting the story together became just as much a part of the experience as the destinations themselves.

The vlog gave students an opportunity to observe more closely, ask better questions, communicate their ideas, and collaborate on something they could proudly call their own.

The real value of EdTerra's Media Projects lies in how they transform students from travellers into storytellers.

Don Bosco School, Kolkata | Exploring Japan Through a Student's Lens

Travelling with a camera changes the way you experience a place.
You begin to notice details that might otherwise go unnoticed. You ask better questions. You discuss what deserves to be included and how best to tell the story.

That was the experience for students from Don Bosco School, Kolkata during their Japan journey. As they travelled from Miraikan, JAXA, and the Toyota Museum to Osaka Castle, Tōdai-ji Temple, Tsukihitei Nara, and Universal Studios, they were documenting them through a vlog created along the way.

In the process, every destination became more than a stop on the itinerary. Students collaborated, communicated their perspectives, and learned how to transform observations into stories worth sharing.

Perhaps that's what makes media projects such an integral part of an EdTerra journey. They encourage students to engage with it more deeply, making every journey a meaningful expression of NEP 2020 in action.

.niketan_ | Stories from Pondicherry

Between the colourful streets, sea-facing walks, little cafés, and quiet corners of Pondicherry, students from Kamala Niketan Montessori School, Tamil Nadu found plenty to observe, talk about, and remember from their journey with EdTerra.

As the experience unfolded, they also worked on a blog titled *“Pondicherry: Little France by the Indian Sea,”* bringing together their thoughts, moments, and impressions from the trip. What makes the blog special is how genuinely the students captured the experience in their own words, making it feel personal, honest, and full of small details that stayed with them.

The journey may have ended, but the conversations and reflections it sparked clearly stayed with them.

| A Journey Across Bhutan

During their time in Bhutan, students from Shri Shikshayatan School, Kolkata experienced a country where ancient monasteries stand alongside everyday life, where traditions are carefully preserved, and where the mountains seem to set the rhythm for everything around them.

Whether it was making their way to Tiger's Nest, walking through centuries-old temples, exploring Thimphu's cultural landmarks, or simply taking in the landscape around them, the journey offered countless opportunities to pause, observe, and understand a different way of looking at the world.

For these students, Bhutan was a chance to experience a place that values culture, community, and heritage in a remarkably visible way.

.noida | Kasauli, Through Student Voices

During their time in Kasauli, students from The Shriram Millennium School, Noida had enough thoughts, conversations, and reflections to create a podcast of their own: Kasauli Reflections: Learning and Growing.

Somewhere between the forest trails, open spaces, and time spent away from their everyday routines, students found themselves looking at familiar ideas from new angles. The journey gave them the space to pause, observe, question, and share perspectives with one another.

The podcast became a record of those conversations, about what stayed with them after the experience. And perhaps that's what made Kasauli memorable.

The Hyderabad Public School Ramanthapur - HPS (R) | Experiencing The Many Sides of Japan

If there was one thing Japan consistently did for students from Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, it was surprise them with how many different experiences could fit into a single journey.

One day, they were gliding above volcanic landscapes on the Hakone Ropeway and cruising across Lake Ashi. On another, they were learning about the future of transportation at the SC Maglev Museum or experiencing the speed and efficiency of Japan's iconic bullet train. And then there were moments like this one at Nara Deer Park—simple, unexpected, and impossible not to smile about.

Between technological innovation, natural beauty, cultural experiences, and a fair share of excitement at Universal Studios, students encountered a side of Japan that was constantly changing with every new stop.

Delhi Public School-Bhilai | A Journey Revisited Through Their Travel Magazine

Not every highlight from a journey comes with a landmark in the background.

Some are found in moments like these, with students gathered around a table, sorting through photographs, sharing memories, and deciding what would make it into their Travel Magazine.

As we look back at the Delhi–Corbett–Nainital–Bhimtal journey of students from Delhi Public School, Bhilai, this photograph captures a different side of the experience. While the destinations gave them plenty to explore, creating the magazine gave them a chance to revisit it all together.
