National Institute of Technology Delhi successfully organized the ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ-๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ on 19 August 2026, recognizing the instituteโs continued adoption and extensive use of across teaching, research, student projects, and innovation.
The programme was organized under the leadership of our Honโble Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay K Sharma, whose continued encouragement towards strengthening research, innovation, and technology-driven learning has significantly contributed to the instituteโs academic ecosystem.
The event was convened by Dr. Anurag Singh, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, National Institute of Technology Delhi, and witnessed the participation of representatives from MathWorks and DesignTech Systems, along with faculty members, research scholars, and students from various departments of the institute.
๐ With approximately 975 MATLAB activations at National Institute of Technology Delhi, the institute has witnessed significant usage of MATLAB across CSE, ECE, EE, and other departments, reflecting its growing role in academic teaching, research, simulation, student projects, and interdisciplinary applications.
๐ฏ The programme highlighted the scope and capabilities of MATLAB in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence ๐ค, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Data Analytics ๐, Simulation, Digital Twins, and Model-Based Design, providing participants with insights into how these technologies can support advanced academic and research activities.
The interaction with the MathWorks team also provided an opportunity to explore MATLABโs latest capabilities, teaching and learning resources, research applications, and possibilities for strengthening industry-academia collaboration ๐ค and interdisciplinary research at National Institute of Technology Delhi.
The ceremony also included experience-sharing sessions by faculty members and researchers, an overview of the MATLAB Campus-Wide Program, the significance of re-credentialing, and the presentation of recognitions and certificates.
๐ The programme concluded with meaningful interactions among faculty members, researchers, students, and industry representatives, further strengthening the instituteโs efforts towards technology-enabled education, research excellence, and innovation.
